biff and rosie

I still keep this quote close to my consciousness each day. Appreciating an ordinary day. That's all I want for myself. That's the way to truly be happy, I think. Hazel is thriving in Kindergarten. We've settled into the routine of taking her to and from school, but it has been more difficult since daylight savings! Our yard is coming along! Last fall we planted some grass in the backyard, and it's been such a warm winter that we've already begun to enjoy it! And just a few days ago we got some chicks!

biff and rosie: as the dust settles

http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2013/08/as-dust-settles.html

As the dust settles. Well, here we are. Nearly 7 weeks out. And I feel like the dust is finally settling and that things may just turn out to be okay! Maybe life will go on! The postpartum period has turned out to be exactly. Like little Alice's birth. I didn't actually think it would be easy. I just kinda hoped. It would be. And I was dead wrong. It has been hard, hard, hard! And put in Dora the Explorer. (It's just like Barney, only 3 octaves higher! No sleep, mommy! No kidding. No sleep here! Biff: ha...

biff and rosie: o ye that embark

http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2013/08/o-ye-that-embark.html

O ye that embark. A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to visit my hometown and welcome home my younger brother! For the past two years he's been serving as a Mormon missionary in San Antonio, Texas. The man's got grit! Hot weather, hard work, personal sacrifice. but he had some incredible experiences teaching individuals about Jesus Christ. What a good example he is to me. And now Biff's parents have been called to serve a mission, too! View my complete profile. As the dust settles. O ye that embark.

biff and rosie: June 2013

http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

We finally got a sofa that's large enough for our whole family to sit on! And she is a beauty. $60 on craigslist. (photo from craigslist). Here's the fabric, nice and close up. Groovy, for sure! But 40 years of cats and kids took its toll. So we tore it up. Lo and behold, this was not the original fabric! We felt like furniture detectives. Another notable discovery: a shiny Canadian nickel from 1968. And here's what it looks like now! Have you ever considered reupholstering a sofa? It did for us! Master ...

biff and rosie: July 2013

http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Our third little blessing, Alice Rebecca. She came to us early in the morning of the last day in June. Rebecca after my mother, Alice after the two women who came before: Marlene Alice Rose and Alice Margeurite. That explains it well:. So, I guess it's that, x4. Because now there are 4 people in the world like that to me. And two of them are in near constant states of fits, another wants to nurse all day and night, and at the end of the day, it leaves me feeling especially grateful for Biff!

D&B Smith Family Adventures: juicing: Day 2

http://daneandbridgetsmith.blogspot.com/2012/11/juicing-day-2.html

D&B Smith Family Adventures. Saturday, November 17, 2012. Another mini victory: two days down! I woke up really excited to start another day of juicing, especially because I was going to try two new recipes that sounded a lot less celery-crazy. And I have to say that I really liked both of the juices today. I started with a big glass of Rise and Shine and then drank Lean and Green throughout the day, saving my last tall glass of Rise and Shine for "desert". Rise and Shine (makes about 4 C). A few of my f...

D&B Smith Family Adventures: May 2013

http://daneandbridgetsmith.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

D&B Smith Family Adventures. Thursday, May 16, 2013. I put Lynlee down for a nap almost 40 min ago and we have been struggling to get her to go to sleep since then. She climbs out of her crib, pushes her chairs up to the light switch and turns on the light to play. Voice 1(boisterous and loud): Drink 'o water? Voice 2 (soft/whispering): Ah! I drink 'o water! V 2: Nap time? V 2: No, play time. V 1: Mommy says sleeping. Nap time. And then a few other things I can't remember and couldn't really make out.

D&B Smith Family Adventures: April 2012

http://daneandbridgetsmith.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

D&B Smith Family Adventures. Monday, April 16, 2012. It isn't very often that I take the time to brag about my self on this blog. For the most part, everything on here has been about my family, and lately, Lynlee. Well, I have to take a chance to record a major goal that I finally completed this last weekend. I completed my first triathlon! And also to my dear sister Kathy who took all of these great pictures! So here is how it all went down: run 3.1 mi, bike 10 mi, and then swim .25 mi. So, I have never...

Roses: April 2011

http://byuroses.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 25, 2011. We had an absolutely wonderful Easter weekend filled with wonderful friends, and so much fun! Lexi had Friday off of school so we started our weekend early. We went to the park Friday morning, and swam with friends in the afternoon, then got to attend a birthday party with our friends from Chris' work. Saturday we had a blast at the ward Easter breakfast and egg hunt. Then that afternoon we had our good friends the Mall's over for an Easter celebration. Let's start by saying that ...

My Quest for Beauty: October 2012

http://marywcherry.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Finding beauty in myself and others. October 22, 2012. I love to see the temple, I'm going there TODAY! Or, hmm maybe I'll just go next week. Or I think I'm coming down with a cold. I'd rather go home and watch America's Next Top Model. The excuses are pretty much endless. It seems like a little thing at the time, but it's the little things we consistently do each day that make us who we are. But once you get to the temple. IT'S SO WORTH IT! In my worship and temple attendance. Links to this post. This p...

Miss Tesha: Living the life of a Princess at Disney World!

http://teshadawn.blogspot.com/2011/10/living-life-of-princess-at-disney-world.html

Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Living the life of a Princess at Disney World! My roommate Cindy and I got all dressed up and went to the Magic Kingdom! It was so much fun, we called it our "Princess Day" because that's what we are, princesses. Of course, every girl is, because we're all daughters of a king. :) We didn't get to meet all the princesses, but we're planning on going back and meeting the rest! FYI: Repunzel is by far my favorite. And it's almost been two years, but I'm still blogging!

simple things: The Countdown Begins

http://abcslade.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-countdown-begins.html

Saturday, November 30, 2013. Two weeks. Fourteen days. Can you believe it? That's only ten fingers and four toes. I do believe this had been the most busy and least productive six months I've had in a long time. I've made a list. 4 Internet calling capabilities. Average of 1.6 times a day we get to call, generally face to face (I love technology). 1 new oud (rhymes with food). Only 1 new pair of shoes (so far). 1 presentation leading to actual adulthood. 300 photos at Harry Potter related sites. December...

http://abcslade.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 13, 2013. This post, inspired by Emily ,. Is late. But I wanted to share . Learned from My Mom:. Cookies are made from scratch. Everything can be improved. A clean house is a happy house. Laugh at your husband's dumb jokes. Support family in the things they want to do. Take piano lessons. Or dance lessons. Or do choir. Choose what you want. Service is as much intent as it is action. Service is a daily activity. Serving someone is loving them. Make up covers acne. Sort of. I am a child of God.

The Jones Crew: Moonlighting

http://kristijonesfam.blogspot.com/2011/10/moonlighting.html

Chad * Bonnie * Kristi. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. After Chad and I were first married we did a lot of moonlighting jobs to just try to get ahead or to just try to pay the bills. It was a lot of long hours after work. I can't remember if I really enjoyed those times.it is kind of like having a baby you soon forget. So when this project is over.I hope I don't forget.or I hope I'll look back on this blog post and remember how really fun or not so fun moonlighting is! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
