biff and rosie: March 2013
http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
I just might forget. This is how they rode last fall, and quite comfortably. Flora's legs are getting too long now, so she has to hold them out straight in front of her so they don't drag! We've tried to show her how to face outwards and use the foot rest, but it's still a little scary. Cute little girls. There are a few more things I'm realizing I will not remember unless I write them down. So in no particular order, here goes. I wish I had a picture of that one. Daughter was such a good little class me...

biff and rosie: Merry Christmas and a happy half birthday!
http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2014/01/merry-christmas-and-happy-half-birthday.html
Merry Christmas and a happy half birthday! We're reminded again just how hard it is to come back from a vacation. We miss having lots of cousins to play with, traditions to look forward to and catching, along with half of America, the super-virus stomach flu. Haven't heard of it? Well Your time is coming. Alice spent her first Christmas rolling around with her cousin Juniper, trying to chew on each others' toes. Merry Christmas, baby! Up and over the fence to retrieve the plane! Papa and Gigi and all the...

biff and rosie: building home
http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2014/07/building-home.html
Life change: We're now renting from the bank! Here's a picture of our little home on the day we moved in. Here's one from today. I'll take July over January any day! Can you spot some other changes? Moved the storage shed. Built pretty little fence by the shed. Chopped down two dead locust trees, removed stumps. Designed and installed sprinkler system. Built, planted and mulched front berm. Designed and installed a drip irrigation system. Planted hydrangeas and boxwoods out front. Ah, home sweet home.

As the dust settles. Well, here we are. Nearly 7 weeks out. And I feel like the dust is finally settling and that things may just turn out to be okay! Maybe life will go on! The postpartum period has turned out to be exactly. Like little Alice's birth. I didn't actually think it would be easy. I just kinda hoped. It would be. And I was dead wrong. It has been hard, hard, hard! And put in Dora the Explorer. (It's just like Barney, only 3 octaves higher! No sleep, mommy! No kidding. No sleep here! A few we...

biff and rosie: soccer!
http://biffandrosie.blogspot.com/2013/09/soccer.html
We went to our nieces' soccer game the other day, and it's hard to say who got more excited. Hazel, or Biff. Actually, it's not that hard, and I'll just say it. Biff got really excited. He began to muse about coaching and which skills are most important to learn. We bought a child's size soccer ball on our way back from the game! The two words I dreaded most as a child: "heads up! So yes, I hope the girls will do sports. And I hope PE will be a little less embarrassing for them! View my complete profile.

I still keep this quote close to my consciousness each day. Appreciating an ordinary day. That's all I want for myself. That's the way to truly be happy, I think. Hazel is thriving in Kindergarten. We've settled into the routine of taking her to and from school, but it has been more difficult since daylight savings! Our yard is coming along! Last fall we planted some grass in the backyard, and it's been such a warm winter that we've already begun to enjoy it! And just a few days ago we got some chicks!
