Weve had enough dry days in a row here that one of the local riding spots, Chestnut Ridge, was open this morning. Since the Gravity Bullseye Monster is currently my only mountain bike, I threw it on my Accord this morning and headed out. Er was storm voorspeld en die kregen wij ook, bij de start ZW 8 met striemende regen, koud op de wangen. Mijn doel was een tijd onder de 1:30 en dat is gelukt, 1:28:48. Als Business Wedstrijdrijder heb je gelukkig het voordeel om redelijk vooraan te kunnen starten, evengoed was het weer wringen bij de start, en kon door de drukte niet in een keer het strand op worden gefietst. Maandag 23 januari 2012. Lagertjes in de vrijloop vervangen, het klusje viel reuze mee, had verwacht dat de kogeltjes alle kanten op zouden vliegen, maar het vet hield ze goed op hun plaats. Bij monteren van wiellager echter 1 lager beschadigd. Hier maar meteen een nieuwe voor besteld voor € 2,-! Het wiel loopt evengoed weer als een zonnetje, scheelt weer een nieuw wiel kopen! Vandaag een poging gedaan het defecte achterwiel uit elkaar te krijgen. Gelukkig had mij lbs deze nog op voorraad voor 5 cent pst!

Zondag 15 maart, Specialized toertocht in Gulpen, 70km. Voor de 3e keer alweer deelgenomen aan deze mooie maar zware toertocht. In 70 km krijg je zo'n 1500hm voor je kiezen.
