Tirsdag 7. juni 2011. Fjelljo i vinterlige Børgefjell. Opp kl. 04.00 til snøbyger og 5 cm nysnø. Med et snev av pessimisme ble det likevel en ok fotoøkt. Bra med li- og fjellrype varmer et jegerhjerte, og enkelte trekkfugler hadde funnet vegen til hekkeområdet, på tross av den sene våren.(Bla. lappspurv, blåstrupe, myrsnipe, sandlo, temmincsnipe og fjelljo). 7 juni 2011 kl. 06.36. 27 juni 2011 kl. 15.05. Tirsdag 11. oktober 2011. Var i starten av september på Svalbard noen dager. Foruten noen timer bunnet til jobbrelatert seminar, gikk turen til Svalbards fasinerende natur både i og rundt Longyearbyen. Sist jeg var der oppe var i 2001, da med Nikon F-301 og diasfilm. Disse bildene er vel ikke tatt frem siden 2001. Fotomessig var det nå som å dra opp dit igjen med blanke ark. Mandag 16. august 2010. Søndag var dagen for igjen å prøve seg på vaderfotografering. Ferden gikk til Eidsbotn`s mudrede fjærer i Levanger. Ryktene gikk om at unge lovende Kolaas hadde konstruert en flåte for å smyge innpå fuglene, og det måtte selvfølgelig prøves. Søndag 24. april 2011. Tilbrakte noen dager på hytta i Håkafot i påsken. Dette noe bortgjemte, men innholdsrike stedet ligger på svensk side av Lierne, og er et utmerket utgangspunkt for friluftsaktiviteter. Området har en stor bjørnestamme som "mater" Norge og Lierne med dette flotte rovdyret. Til glede for noen, forargelse for andre. I år ble det tid til en rype/fisketur til Stekenjokk, med "lirype i bjørk" som ett av minnene på kortet. Det ser også ut til å bli et godt med gnagere i Trøndelag i år....

Onsdag 5. januar 2011. Sette seg i bilen, kjøre 15 minutter hjemmefra, og oppleve bortimot 10 ørn på foring er noe jeg ikke trodde var mulig her i Levanger. Men joda. I går satte jeg meg nok en gang i skjulet til Terje Kolaas, som jeg har tilbragt mange dager i tidligere. Med få unntak, har ikke disse dagene resultert i mer enn at jeg kjenner hver detalj av skogåsen på andre siden av fjorden.
