Sure there are ups and downs, and I miss Noah, my son, terribly. The ups always come back in full force and I will see Noah in 3 days. His 2nd birthday is in 5 days. Anyone for cake? Life, effects and travel. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. SR is Certifiably Fresh. My grandpa, a retired journalist, called me the other day and said in his raspy voice "You have a hit on your hands". Life, effects and travel. Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Soon after Siggraph I had a call back from Dreamworks. And long story short, I got the job! I finally have a long term job near my son. How fun. So I gave R&H 4 weeks notice. Work on Compass already kind of ended for us tech animators. I have actually been doing a bit of work on the Alvin and the Chipmunks. Life, effects and travel. Friday, April 20, 2007. The day before our flight to Israel, my son's mother realized her passport wasn't valid anymore. So I thank her here again for letting Noah come with me to Israel, just the two of us. The day we arrived was my dear Sister's wedding day. Passover was celebrated in my sister's practice dome, at the border of a small village and it's orchard - near Natanya. Once Noah got bored he practiced juggling clubs. Posted by Za1 at 4:20 PM. One of the things about the visual effects industry that annoys me is that after pretty much every job/project I work on I need to go out look for work. That involves getting footage of my latest work, editing it together, burning reels, updating my resume, and then finding jobs that need my talent. Even though I had allot of good feedback, interest in my work, and 0-3 interviews a month since Siggraph 06, I remained unemployed for close to 9 months. I was a Motion Capture Tracker at the time on the Polar Express. I moved here a month before Noah was born and worked on PEX for a whole year.
