Thursday, December 08, 2011. Shoveling three times a day, pushing our cars over the berm, frantically salting and re-salting the driveway. Not our cup of tea. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. After a few minutes, Katie placed her in my arms, making her the youngest child I've ever had the pleasure to hold. She hardly moved, just slept peacefully as I rocked her and talked to Katie about the birth. Katie was very trusting of me despite my novice with babies, and let me snap a few adorable pictures of her gorgeous daughter to put online for her husband to see along his travels back to Germany.
