As I mentioned in my last post, Owen and I traveled to the Gulf Coast with my family mid-May for a week long stay in Florida. Most of my life, we have always vacationed in the Carolinas/Atlantic, but I must say the Gulf beaches were BEAUTIFUL! The water was so clear and the sand was so white, it almost seemed like Mexico! Thinking about jumping in the pool.

This year for Mother's Day, I will be spending it in Florida with Owen, my parents, my grandma, both sisters and their significant others. Absent will be my hubby who is going to be in Alaska for a wedding of his best childhood friend. I am very much looking forward to the quality time relaxing with family on the beach. Keeping our friends and families up to speed on our lives. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. On Sunday, Mike and I decided to take Owen to the zoo for something fun to do since the weather was so nice. I think this was our 5th or 6th time going this summer and it is pretty cute to see how much he is enjoying it now and is really aware of his surroundings. Owen got to feed the giraffe. You can't see his face here, but he did a great job. The giraffe licked the food right off his hand! Monday, August 29, 2011.

They hired people to create cool shaped balloons for the kids at the party- they each got to have two made and Owen chose and monkey and a dinosaur. Here he is waiting patiently while they made them! Sitting at the head of the table while they sang Happy Birthday! Loving cake and ice cream. I got so wrapped up in taking pictures of Owen at the party, I forgot to capture the birthday girl on camera. Oops! Good Bye for Now.
