Keeping our friends and families up to speed on our lives. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. On Sunday, Mike and I decided to take Owen to the zoo for something fun to do since the weather was so nice. I think this was our 5th or 6th time going this summer and it is pretty cute to see how much he is enjoying it now and is really aware of his surroundings. Owen got to feed the giraffe. You can't see his face here, but he did a great job. The giraffe licked the food right off his hand! Monday, August 29, 2011.

They hired people to create cool shaped balloons for the kids at the party- they each got to have two made and Owen chose and monkey and a dinosaur. Here he is waiting patiently while they made them! Sitting at the head of the table while they sang Happy Birthday! Loving cake and ice cream. Between being a mommy and wife, working, trying to exercise regularly and trying to keep our house from looking like a hurricane hit it, I have not been able to make myself sit down at the computer to work out a blog entry. Sunday, October 26, 2014. It's a faaaam-ily tradition! The last reunion that I attended was in 2009, right before I moved out to California. Bill and I decided to get crazy and make the long-drive up to Indiana for the 2013 reunion at Brown County State Park. All of Garmie and Pappy's great-grandchildren were present so one of our main goals for the weekend was to get a picture of all them together. This was not an easy task. Enjoy a few outtakes. Saturday, August 23, 2014. Come on, guys! I'm ready to go for a bike ride! We were trying to get him to go to sleep all by himself on this night. We kept hearing the puppy singing so we thought he was playing with it at the top of the stairs. We went to check on him and put him back in his bed and found him like this. Hank and Izzy go to Baton Rouge, Louisiana! Memorial Day Weekend 2013. Baton Rouge had an awesome shallow water park. Hank and Bill had a blast, while Izzy and I hung out in the shade.

September 2, 2010. Finding out the sex of Baby Barnett was an adventure in itself! First of all, we took more people with us than we were supposed to; however we were all TOOOOO excited! Brittney, Larry, Myself, Mom, Dad, Paula, and Larry were all waiting very patiently in the waiting room, laughing, hollering and telling jokes! Praying we would not be kicked out). Sunday, July 22, 2012. All of my co-workers (at least the ones that were there). With this hot and humid weather down here in Louisiana, we try to keep cool as much as possible. Of course, it only keeps him occupied for about 10-20 minutes before he wants to head on in to the cul-de-sac (sigh), and I have to get out of my chair to retrieve him. March 14, 2010. What a great weekend it has been! Ashley made the trip from Charleston, IL to visit Bryan and I. She is on Spring Break next week and wanted to come hang out for a couple of days. It has been way to long since we have seen each other and we couldn't have been any happier to see her. On Saturday night we went to Kilroy's downtown Indianapolis for some drinks and had breadsticks as an appetizer! Today, we're having a fun-filled day of relaxing! We are so glad Ashley came to visit!

Mike and Erin's Excellent Adventures. Monday, July 26, 2010. Mike and Erin vs The Volcano. Well today was a bit of an early start as we wanted to get to Naples. For our last night in Italy as well as fit in Pompeii. We had no idea what to expect but the bus ride up to the top was breathless, our tour was great and the views were stunning. We finished our trip with a glass of wine on top of an "active" volcano. we couldn't end these past 18 days any better! Italy, we came, we saw, we drank and we loved it.

The Lord has been so faithful to provide, and we are so thankful for the generosity and support we have received already from so many people. I {Erin} started a 2nd round of Bible study with the women in our home group; we are walking through the book of Genesis using this study guide. We had an unexpected visit to the vet.
