http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 7, 2010. Instead of writing a race report I thought I'd do a photo blog instead :) Enjoy! For the record, it was bascially a tough, hilly, windy day out! Next stop is Nepean Triathlon on the 14th November. A nice short hit out before my next major race 70.3 Asia Pacific Champs in Phuket, Thailand on 5th December :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). SHELL WU: February 2011
http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Well, its been a long time between posts! Againi will get better at this! Racing has kicked off for 2011 :). I raced the Victorian Long Course Champs in Falls Creek a couple of weekends ago. The distance was 2/80/20. Falls Creek is a little village in the Alpine region of Victoria located at an altitude of 1600-1700m. Needless to say it was a cold and interesting weekend! Lots of trails everywhere altitude = fantastic training! All on rough, rocky narrow trails with very little...

SHELL WU: September 2011
http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 23, 2011. Sorry this is so long overdue! I'm actually back home in canberra now after my USA trip finally came to and end. It was the most incredible 4 months I've ever had! It was sad to leave after such a long time, but i know I will be back there next year! That combined with the brutal hills of the course would make it a tough tough day for all competitors. Out ontot he hot, and hilly bike, I struggled to find my legs. They didn't seem to want to respond! The 3 lap run course is equ...

SHELL WU: August 2011
http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 20, 2011. I recently returned to Australia after using up my 90 day Visa limit here in the USA. It timed in perfectly with Yeppoon 70.3 which was nice! I raced Yeppoon last year as my first race since deciding to focus on long course. Wow! A year really does fly by! I arrived Yeppoon a whole week before the race from my training base in LA. There's really not much to do in Yeppoon! The week was essentially spent doing a bit of swim, bike, run and supermarket visits and internet browsing!

SHELL WU: August 2010
http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. Back in the game! Well, it's been a while, but I am finally back in the game! The past few weeks have been quite hectic as racing for this season has begun! It's so good to be back on the start line again! Let's face it. We train so that we can race! Racing is the fun part of it all! I exited the water 6th in 34min! To cut a long story short, only about half the field finished and many were treated for heat exhaustion and/or were taken to hospital during or after the race. It...

SHELL WU: December 2011
http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Taiwan, Nepean, Phuket, Canberra! Okso it's been record long time since I wrote on here. no excuses. Just super slack! I've done 4 races since returning home from the USA. Taiwan 70.3, Nepean, Phuket 70.3, and just last weekend Canberra 70.3. To save myself from RSI, I'm going to just briefly touch on each one! Taiwan 70.3: 1st. It was rather slow going and a real slog, but I got there at the end for a nice win and a 3min PB from last year :). I was so glad I had a 28 rear c...

Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Well once again i'm long overdue for an update! Becoming quite a habit! If you've been following me on FB or Twitter, it'll be pretty obvious that I have made my way finally over to the USA! It's been 3 weeks here now and time is just flying by! The weather has defnitely surprised me though being much much cooler than what I had expected! I was hoping that I'd leave Winter at home! Can't say i like it much! Hopefully things will get warmer over the coming months! Running is equal...

SHELL WU: July 2011
http://shellwu.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 21, 2011. Last weekend I did my 2nd race here in the USA - Racine 70.3 in the state of Wisconsin. Racine is about a 40min drive from Milwaukee Airport. It's a small but very nice town and a great location for a race! Mum and I arrived on the Thursday before the race and settled in. Thank goodness we had a hire car! Everything required a good drive to get to from our hotel! For once, I was not chasing out of T1! The bike was 1 lap mostly flat, but with a lot of false flat/uphills making it ...
