Raquo; Staedte and Orte. Augusta ist die Hauptstadt des Bundesstaates Maine. Mit ihren 19,136 Einwohnern (Census 2010) und einer Flaeche von ca. 133km² ist sie die drittkleinste Hauptstadt der USA. Das kleine Staedtchen liegt im Kennebec County und wird vom Kennebec River geteilt. Augusta ist nicht nur meine Wahlheimat sondern auch einer meiner Lieblingsorte in den USA. Die Stadt ist nicht zu klein und nicht zu gross, der Verkehr ist nicht so stressig und es gibt hier alles was man zum Leben braucht.
