An ongoing project, Physical Echoes is an interactive installation that explores the transitory nature of sound by creating a real-time, physical output. The current iteration of the piece uses three bespoke drawing machines to create marks on paper in response to sounds made by observers. Growing up in Nottingham, I was obsessed with music from an early age. I played as much of it as I could as a teenager, including glam rock, traditional folk, jazz fusion, and hip-hop. Discovering the joys of recording and production, I caught the technology bug and studied Creative Music Technology at the University of Hull. Since then I’ve created much more than just music, including instruments, installations, robotic sculptures, web-based art, and more. Programme centred around arts and technology.
