Whilst there are many tools that can change Windows account passwords, I personally like to do it manually as it doesn't take very long. This trick will not work if you have Bitlocker full disk encyption - and, if you have EFS (Encrypting File System), your keys will become lost (as with any password resetting method). As I sit in LAX, using their somewhat-unexpectedly-not-the-worst Wi-Fi, it’s something I’m thinking a lot about. It’s kind of cool that I can expect a wireless hookup when I’m sitting in most airports by now, but the state of public Wi-Fi still sucks. Efforts about practical privacy and data education. Heck, for all I know LAX is using a deauth attack on the free connections.
