Bike Sharing Can Mean Safer Biking | Will Hopkins
http://blog.williamjhopkins.org/post/52876690908/bike-sharing-can-mean-safer-biking
Posted on Thursday, 13 June 2013. Bike Sharing Can Mean Safer Biking. In the Netherlands, where biking has long been part of the urban fabric, people are taught in driver education courses to reach across their bodies and open the driver’s door with the right hand, which forces the driver to look over the left shoulder to see if any bicyclists are coming. Such a simple idea that could have an incredible impact. Always remember to share the road and stay alert for bikes. Posted on Thursday, 13 June 2013.
Free public Wi-Fi sucks | Will Hopkins
http://blog.williamjhopkins.org/post/104513432754/free-public-wi-fi-sucks
Posted on Saturday, 6 December 2014. Free public Wi-Fi sucks. Free public Wi-Fi sucks. Not that it should. Suck—it just does. As I sit in LAX, using their somewhat-unexpectedly-not-the-worst Wi-Fi, it’s something I’m thinking a lot about. It’s kind of cool that I can expect a wireless hookup when I’m sitting in most airports by now, but the state of public Wi-Fi still sucks. Efforts about practical privacy and data education. Heck, for all I know LAX is using a deauth attack on the free connections.

Every so often a posting might show up here about something or other. We will see what happens. I like bananas. Quick development update… AppleScript extensions are now working wonderfully for the next release. The advantage of using AppleScript directly rather than through the shell integration is that you don’t get any character escaping problems. This means that the full plug-in syntax. Works great for scripts like the Things.app one above. Reblogged this from preppeller-blog. Theme by Robbie Manson.

There's no data like metadata. Markdown with Keyboard Maestro. Following this interesting video. Showing how to quickly write some Markdown markup using LaunchBar. I decided to write a few similar macros for Keyboard Mastro. The first two ones are fairly simple: they make the text bold or italic. To use them, simply select the wanted word(s) and hit the shortcut. Here is how they are defined. The AppleScript in this macros is as follows. And the last inserted text is simply.

It's not as hard as you think. Formerly coderoom.wordpress.com. IPad Linode, 1 Year Later. A year ago I said goodbye. To my trusty MacBook Pro and started working exclusively on an iPad Linode 512. It was an experiment at first - one that I never thought would last. Twelve months later and I find. I’m still working like this. By the way. A high-speed baby bottle demolished my MacBook Pro screen months ago and I still haven’t got around to getting it fixed yet. In my original post. It’s a crisp summ...

Maybe not the best grammar or writing style. but will try to get my point across! Tuesday, 11 July 2017. Windows Explorer's GUI is really bad at long file names and folder structures - Don't trust it! I am actually in a bit of shock at this one - I've hit the long file name problem in Windows a few times in the past, but it has never been that much of an issue. I've only ever come across this when I really thought I was at the limitations - however, I took a step back and tried to understand this. Luckil...

The Left Brain Blog. The future has already arrived. It's just not evenly distributed yet." - William Gibson. Saturday, May 16, 2015. GNU Radio and HackRF One on Debian 8. I started with Kali Linux and switched back to Debian after spending a weekend dealing with USB driver issues. Then I realized that I didn't take any notes and had to google everything a second time. So this time, here are my notes in case I end up doing this a third time. First the preliminary stuff:. Apt-get install python2.7-dev.
