The W.P. Birds: North Carolina
http://thewpbirds.blogspot.com/2015/03/north-carolina.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. On our extended weekend trip to North Carolina, the kids missed 2 days of school. For part of P's homework, she had to keep a journal of her trip. So for this post, she is the author. (I added the words in parenthesis.). The outer banks are basically a bunch of sand dunes so at one point, as we were driving through a national preserve area, it looked like we were driving through the desert with sand blowing across the road and everything.). A panoramic view from the top deck.).

The W.P. Birds: April 2014
http://thewpbirds.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Sunday, we turned them in to deviled eggs. After wonderful church meetings, I hid the little chocolate foil eggs in the backyard. That's the way we've done our egg hunt the last couple of years. It is a little more challenging that way, now that the kids are getting older. (No pictures of B because he didn't want to participate. Who doesn't want to find and eat chocolate? I guess him.). The girls wanted their own pictures instead of one together. Posted by B.Bird. All of the snow...

The way of the Earth: Building a nest
http://thewayoftheearth.blogspot.com/2015/01/building-nest.html
The way of the Earth. If it's worth doing, it's worth over analyzing! Monday, January 5, 2015. After the 8 hour ordeal of spackling, sanding, and painting, it was time to assemble furniture. It went together relatively straightforward, but assembling a dresser, crib, and glider rocker takes some time. About another 6 hours. Then it was just simply a matter of tracing and cutting out the letters on the scrapbook paper, throwing down a couple of layers of mod podge and voila! Monday, January 05, 2015.

The way of the Earth: August 2015
http://thewayoftheearth.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The way of the Earth. If it's worth doing, it's worth over analyzing! Thursday, August 13, 2015. So, last Friday I got a little ambitious. Whereas our driveway initially looked like this,. A short 20 minutes or so later it looked like this. It was easy to take them down, but cutting the limbs off, cutting up the logs, and transporting them to the woodpile and stacking them took a couple of hours on Saturday morning. Nevertheless, this is what our driveway looks like now. Thursday, August 13, 2015.

Non-Stop Flight: June 2015
http://non-stop-flight.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 02, 2015. 2 steps forward, 2 steps back. Below is a sketch of what our sail track probably looked like. It was a cool, overcast day with calm water and almost no other boats. Aside from the ferry boat going back and forth between the spans while we hung out, we only saw 4 other boats on the river. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 2 steps forward, 2 steps back. The way of the Earth: Preparing for Winter
http://thewayoftheearth.blogspot.com/2014/11/preparing-for-winter.html
The way of the Earth. If it's worth doing, it's worth over analyzing! Sunday, November 30, 2014. WARNING: This is another long installment! It's hard to believe that it's been almost 2 months since I updated the blog. That's not to say we haven't been getting work done around the house. Just that I've been too lazy to document it. We have almost completely finished getting ceilings/walls patched! We then spent a solid 2-3 days pulling up the paper off the floor, and scrubbing the tile that didn't have pa...

http://thewayoftheearth.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
The way of the Earth. If it's worth doing, it's worth over analyzing! Tuesday, August 19, 2014. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Since words don't even begin to describe what we've been dealing with for the past week, I'll just post the pictures. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Thursday, August 7, 2014. We had a visitor from someone in the past week. I stood dumbfounded, staring at it trying to figure out what had happened. It looked as if someone had taken a rototiller and just shredded every...

The way of the Earth: Table saw and crosscut sled
http://thewayoftheearth.blogspot.com/2015/04/table-saw-and-crosscut-sled.html
The way of the Earth. If it's worth doing, it's worth over analyzing! Saturday, April 18, 2015. Table saw and crosscut sled. Now that Spring has finally arrived here (the snow finally melted off our front yard this past week) it's time to start thinking about summer projects. I was amazed in looking over this blog all the stuff we got done last year (about only 1/2 of which I mentioned on here). Hopefully this year will be as productive. And I haven't done much since. Building a crosscut sled. Then I mad...
