Neat I just found out that Picasa will make photo collages. Here's one of the turkeys. So we sold 8 poults, set mama free with the other nine and are now down to six. :( We think she lost three in the tall grass on their first outing. But the good news is, she seems more careful now. I found her sitting in her nest with her babies tonight when we went out to milk. We tried to relocate her and all the kiddoes to the coop, but she wasn't having it. We put the poults in with their cousins (All of whom are STILL alive and thriving, BTW) and Aunt and hope they will get adopted - so far so good.

Thursday, July 25, 2013. Lord knows I don't need anymore STUFF, but visiting thrift shops is one of my favorite pastimes. Such a thrill to find a treasure for a little money. My favorite shop is only a few blocks from here, and I go most Wednesdays, when their clothing is 50% off. Mike finds this very humorous. Monday, October 26, 2009. Found this little odd bright beautiful orange thing in the squash bin at HEB. Going to steam with Fuji apples and add little wee bit of brown sugar and butter and raw walnuts to go along with roasted chicken and another side veggie dish. Loaded with vitamin A. Grind the beef in a meat grinder together with sweet pickles and onion to taste. Then mix in Miracle Whip to taste - makes a tasty sandwich or on crackers. Next day: OPEN-FACED ROAST BEEF SANDWICHS:. Friday, August 6, 2010. Today I got a whim to boil a chicken and make dressing - getting ready for Thanksgiving. Whether you boil, bake or buy a chicken there are several chicken salad recipes. 1/2 C mayo or miracle whip. 1 T lemon juice. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1/4 tsp. pepper. 2 med stalks celery, chopped. 1 C grapes (green or red seedless). Mix mayo, lemon juice, salt and pper. Toss with chicken and celery. Cover and refrigerate. Stir in grapes and serve in lettuce cups. Substitute mandarin oranges for grapes.
