Thursday, May 7, 2015. Back Home in Bend. We got home to Bend on April 28th and it was so good to be back. Kelly had been gone since mid August and Dave since mid September. The weather was so nice, we went to 10 Barrel the next day to enjoy a few beers in the sun and we ran in to Tabor. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Visitors And A Day At Elk Lake. Spenser, Ashley, Delaney and Cindy arrived at our house around noon on Monday July 27th. Here they are that evening enjoying appetizers with Kelly. The next day we went up to Elk Lake with Cindy, Spenser, Delaney, Ashley and visiting Antarctic friend Paul Bernasconi, his wife Michelle and their three daughters Katherine, Anna and Sarah. The Bernasconi's have been exploring the country in their RV since leaving their New York home in late June.

Sunday, December 21, 2014. Kelly's trip to the Dry Valleys, AQ. On December 19th Kelly flew from McMurdo Station to the Canada Glacier in the protected area of the Dry Valleys. This was a full day trip to escort Scientist Alex Mass who is based at Lake Hoare. She studies toxicology in water from Glaciers, so the mission was to gather water samples for the day. Sunday, March 1, 2015. Antarctic Summer Season's End. Shortly after the New Year is when we start seeing ships enter the McMurdo Sound area. The first to arrive is always the US Coast Guard to cut a channel in to the sea ice. This year that Ship was the Polar Sea, which is shown in the photo below. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Friday January 2nd from 6 pm to 1 am was McMurdo's annual music festival. It's always a great time to hear good music performed by our local musicians as well as a fun time to hangout with friends. Here's Kelly with Kerre and Craig. Kara with her medicinal Antarctic flask. One of the many bands that played that evening. Andrew filled all his pockets with Coronas. The crowd enjoying the music and the good weather. Sunday, April 6, 2014. Our 4th Annual Trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We flew back to PV on March 14 for our annual beach vacation. Norman flew down the same day we did and we met him at the airport when we landed. Here are Norman and Kelly enjoying the sun at Ritmo's. June 18th we went to the Fermentation Celebration in the Old Mill District. Kelly's getting a sample from the Silver Moon Brewery booth. Here we are with Jason enjoying a few tastings.
