Birds of Shustoke Reservoir Warwickshire. Shustoke Reservoir lies two miles east of Coleshill on th B4114 Coleshill to Furnace End Road, south of the River Bourne. At 1.5km west to east, the main pool is only 400m at its widest point. The River Bourne feeds the smaller eastern pool (8 acres), the water is then transferred to the main reservoir (92 acres). The Gannets again put on a show collecting grass from the cliff top we then made our way back to the centre for a coffee and food,whilst we sat photographing Linnets and watching the Tree Sparrows with time passing and people leaving we headed down towards staple newk viewpoint at the southern end of the reserve where more Gannets on the cliff tops gathering nest material. Richard Dawkins Wildlife Photography. Sunday, 12 April 2015. Far Ings Marsh Harriers 11 - 4 - 15. With it being a nice afternoon I thought I would go and enjoy a walk around the local reserve,and try for the Barn Owls again but must have been a bit windy for them,but I did enjoy watching the Marsh Harriers around Ness pit with at least 100 Swallows and Sand Martin and a brief view of a Bearded tit as it flew in to the reeds before it started pinging.
