Stanley Family Stories: March 2013
http://stanleyfamilystories.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. Easter weekend traditions this year looked similar to the past few years (plus a little snow and a visit from Aunt Laura.). On Friday morning, Grandma Denyse hosted an Easter egg hunt at her house. Cousin Parker was able to fully participate this year and the snow made it a little easier to find the eggs. Friday afternoon we dyed eggs with Grandpa Ken and Aunt Laura. Truth be told, we picked on Grandpa for wearing a white shirt to dye eggs. Bleach took those stains right out.

The Wild Root Family: July 2012
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Monday, July 9, 2012. If this is my cup. There is an older(ish) song with a line that states, " If this is my cup I'll learn to drink it.". Recently, we have been offered a cup that I wanted to refuse. My response to what God had allowed to transpire was a resounding, grievous, "NO! I can't do that, I won't do that. It hurts too bad and I'm totally incapable of such a task. again.". But, she was worth it, so we would endure with His strength. What a miraculous gift and complete ...

The Wild Root Family: October 2013
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Tuesday, October 15, 2013. He tenderly fluffs her hair and she giggles. It's obvious she loves being cared for by him. He calmly guides and directs her. She listens and obeys with joy. "Like this, Daddy? He steps aside, but her gaze remains fixed upon him;. The joy of his nearness illuminating her face. His encouragement and praise brings her great delight;. She cannot contain it. Knowing how loved she is, she can't help but to love back in return. Loving as he loves,. I'm in the pr...

The Wild Root Family: May 2012
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Tuesday, May 1, 2012. I hear it often from pregnant mommies, "I don't care if it's a boy or girl, I just want a healthy baby." And just again yesterday, there was a prayer request for a "healthy baby". A few moths later came our little "Elle". Her story was so very similar to our Toben. There were no questions to ask, we knew that we would also embrace her completely, come what may. She had a battle to fight and we would help her to do it. Possible brain damage? Lord, I know that yo...

The Wild Root Family: March 2012
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Friday, March 30, 2012. I have a boy who loves me. My son believes wholeheartedly that I can do no wrong. Though I've given him example after example to show him that is not the truth, he quickly takes the blame for any mishaps and declares my perfection. Seriously. How he is blinded to my many faulty steps I take before him is beyond me. According to my Kaden. To him it is a simple fact that cannot be debated - we've tried. And tells me frequently that I look beautiful. My disappoi...

The Wild Root Family: August 2013
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Friday, August 30, 2013. Same words, different tune. And I'll give all myself! And I'll give all myself to YOOOOOOOUUUUU! She belts out boisterously from within the constraints of her car seat in the back of the van. I adjust my rearview mirror so that I can watch her - arms raised, eyes scrunched tightly closed, head swaying side to side, and singing with all her heart, in full Carys fashion. As is common, a tidal wave of emotion engulfs me. My mind wanders back in time. Subscribe ...

The Wild Root Family: June 2013
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Friday, June 21, 2013. Two and a half years! The last time we saw my sister Sheila and her family was in December 2010. She had a toddler and a newborn, we had just 3 kids. Since that time, they have served as missionaries in Indonesia, Nathan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, they returned to the USA and she is now pregnant with a little girl named Lydia. We have adopted Carys and McKenna into our family and fostered others. Much life has been lived! Cousin time was awesome!

The Wild Root Family: February 2012
http://wildrootfamily.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
The Wild Root Family. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. I have been given so many reasons to rejoice and praise Him, the giver of all good gifts. My heart has been blown away by such joyous gifts as of late. Incredible big siblings who take great delight in loving the "little girls". Makes my heart soar. 3 big kids who are reading their Bibles daily on their own initiative, eager to know God's Word. How I praise Him for drawing them to Himself. What an undeserved gift he is. He knew they needed each other.
