This week’s Top Ten Tuesday (weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish blog) is a “freebie” meaning you can pick whatever topic you want. As I have recently seen the new film adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s. Far From the Madding Crowd. So here they are, as usual in no particular order…. NB Whilst I really loved. I rea...

BookAWeek: A Challenge to Read 52 Books in a Year. Index: Books Read/ Reviewed 2014. Index: Books Read/ Reviewed in 2015. Since starting this blog/ challenge I’ve been lucky enough to receive a few advance reading copies of books from publishers. I am thrilled about this as it opens me up to new authors and saves my pennies. I have read, though, that it is a good idea to have a review policy. So here goes…. My preferred genres are:. Non-fiction history, politics, some biography and some travel. You are c...

Book a Week | Ploughing through the world's literature
Ploughing through the world's literature. Where Do Comedians Go When They Die: Journey Of A Stand-Up. As a book I rather enjoyed Mr Lonely. But as an insight into the author it showed a very different side to Eric Morecambe, one far removed from the cheerful jester known to his television audiences. I was a little worried, going by this book title, that my impression of Milton Jones would take a similar beating. Where Do Comedians Go When They Die: Journey Of A Stand-Up. 5 stars – it was amazing. If Sid ...
bookaweek2013 | I'll finish a book a week in 2013.
I'll finish a book a week in 2013. Book 8- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein. February 2, 2013. I hope all the 13 year old boys that love this movie at least read the book before they saw it. The Book-a-Week Project
Saturday, July 28, 2012. Book 54: Casino Royale by Ian Fleming. Casino Royale was an interesting book and not really what I expected. I'd never read a James Bond book before this one and my only impressions of the character came from the films. In those, Bond is a suave, confident ladies man with expert knowledge of firearms and fighting in general. In the book, the character is much more nuanced. Saturday, July 21, 2012. Book 53: Le Vicomte de Bragelonne by Alexandre Dumas. Le Vicomte de Bragelonne.
Book a Week with Jen
Thursday, May 18, 2017. On the Road with Jen. Tap tap tap.is this thing on? Hello Book a Week with Jen fans! I know it's been a while since I've posted here, and I just realized I probably should have directed you to my new online spots when I stopped updating the blog. Sorry about that. But a lot has happened! I shifted my writing focus to fitness and running, and published a book about that. I sold my house and, very sadly, my dog died in January. Posted by Jen A. Miller.
