My scruffy desktop sketch for november. i was inspired by all the nanowrimo calendars which have been posted by some of the other nanoers this year, but i couldn’t use anything so stylish and slick! You can borrow, but don't take them in the bath. Just begun to pull a book for rebinding. Very old edition of Lady of the Lake, by his wordiness, Sir Walter Scott. No date but includes a Life Of. Concerned about the thick crust of animal glue on the back of the sections, I don’t want to have to soak the thing as it is quite frail as well as being tiny. You can borrow, but don't take them in the bath. It’s a pity that you don’t get to see how well a book is made on the inside until it is time to pull the pages and re-bind it. (Unless of course it is a Japanese style stab stitched book, or coptic bound.) I do tradtional fine binding which means that all the separate signatures are sewn together with linen thread before being attached to the boards which are then covered.
