Youth Leadership Award at Borderland Rotary

Now in its 17th year, on 21 August 40 students from Rotary District 1180 went on a leadership course at Arthog Outdoor Education Centre near Dolgellau which was organised by Oswestry Borderland Rotary Club. The students aged 16 to 18 met up on Sunday afternoon and during the week were split into four teams that competed in various events, each student had the opportunity to lead their team in a variety of activities. Borderland enjoy a wide range of activities from varied and interesting speakers after our lovely meal at Sweeney to getting out and about in the community. After his successful promotion of the Oswestry Round, which raised many thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK, local adventurer and author, David Andrews is going further afield on a quest to raise even more funds for Cancer Research. Christmas Parade - Sat 3rd Dec 2016. Borderland Rotary Club organises an annual Christmas Parade through Oswestry, Shropshire, UK. It is an established event in the Oswestry Christmas calender that is enjoyed by hundreds of children and adults every year.
