I found this stuff mostly in San Francisco. Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Orange Moon, Red Planet and some Stripes. 2014-04-16 Lunar eclipse. I think this is about the full eclipse of the moon. Unfortunately there were a lot of thin clouds. Luckily they were thin enough that it was still easy to see the eclipse. I think this shot is a bit before the full eclipse but it was a bit more clear. I found this stuff mostly in San Francisco. Thursday, August 09, 2012. Milky Way from OBX. It's been raining and cloudy for days on our vacation to the Outer Banks. Finally ha a little bit of clear weather to play with my Vixen Polari and Canon s100 with CHDK. Unfortunately there was a bit of haze and some light pollution which caused some bright washed out areas. Only managed to get this short video of one or two before suiting up. We paddled out to just about where they were but we didn't see any while we were surfing. Or, knit a bird snorkel. Sunday, April 6, 2008. A most vexing pair of socks! It's the Child's Sock in Miranda Pattern from my last post. After finishing the first sock and starting the second, I realized that the way the sock bulges at the ankle was really bugging me. I mean, why bother making a fitted sock leg if it doesn't fit? So for sock #2, I tried adding another pattern repeat before starting the heel. I repeated rows 52-65 of the pattern, which added another inch to the ankle. Ahh, so much better!

Monday, August 6, 2012. 1st day in the Outer Banks the surf is really small so we rented some floaty 8'4"s and paddled out. Part way through the session my brother-in-law, Todd, pointed out a double rainbow behind us. I was all, "What does it mean? Linda happened to see it too while sitting on the deck of the beach house we are staying in and took a few pictures. you cant see the full or double part of the rainbow because it was to big for the camera. Day 1 in the OBX was great even if it was small.

Monday, January 21, 2013. Was watching the Mavericks 2012/13 surf contest online and it was a bit boring. Lots of 20min lulls and such and the waves though big seemed a bit mush.
