Mango Salsa →. Cornmeal Crusted Fillet with Tomato-Caper Sauce. April 20, 2011. A few weeks ago I read a number of different articles in the New York times about food. This is an everyday occurrence for me; I usually read both the health section and the dining section of the New York times, plus anything Mark Bittman wrote. On this particular day, I enjoyed an article on the Mediterranean Diet. And an article by Mark Bittman on the various ways to cook a white fillet of fish. 1 package silken tofu. 2 med...

Living, running, and dreaming by the bay. Thursday, December 13, 2012. Take one pair of running shoes. Expose to wet, muddy conditions for an extended period of time. Put wet, muddy shoes into a plastic bag. Tie the bag shut. Put the bag in the laundry room, which is uninsulated and maintains an average room temperature of 50 degrees. Leave the bag there for a week. Open the bag, and realize that you've grown grass in your shoes! Monday, December 10, 2012. North Face Endurance Challenge Marathon.

An outdoor weekend | Running on Faith
https://simplyrunningonfaith.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/an-outdoor-weekend
Where leaps are common. September 5, 2011. This was my first “real” weekend in my house in Novato and thankfully, it was a three day weekend too! I did my fair share of applications, but made sure to step away from the computer and enjoy the abundant sunshine and warmth that I exists in Northern Marin County. When looking for trails in Northern Marin, I know that I could have gone for the spots you hear about – Tennessee Valley, Mount Tam, China Campetc. All amazing locations! We have some winners! The p...

Where leaps are common. Soon to be commute-less. Friday Favorites →. August 31, 2011. July ended in a little something like this. San Francisco Half Marathon! August began with a little something like this…. Celebrations of major life changes. Then I cleaned up my eats.🙂. Saw this view…. And decided to move closer to work…. I’m not in Oakland anymore…. For helping me out on Saturday and some good friends on Sunday! In between moving, I celebrated my birthday…. I apologize for the interrupted blogging!

Where leaps are common. 7 ways to successfully disappear from blogging for the week. August in review →. Soon to be commute-less. August 9, 2011. For the past few weeks I tried to weight the pro’s and con’s of moving, but what I couldn’t get passed despite some con’s was the cost that the commute was having on me emotionally, physically, and monetarily. I did some searching and some exploring all along Marin County. What I realized was how much I appreciated my 10 minute commute to work when I was te...

Where leaps are common. 7 links →. July 26, 2011. I viewed the San Francisco Half Marathon as the icing on the cake after a LONG two months of night classes, studying for the GRE, and transition into a new job. And when I looked at my months of June and July on my calendar, my heart sank. I can say that I had doubts of what my capabilities were. But I have a goal and had taken such big leaps. To cower now would mean that I could never attain that goal. It meant that I did it. 7 links →. Congrats on the G...

Major League Ballparks Visited. Oh, the places you'll go (and run). This is my growing "life list". You know, the things to do while you're still alive. I've had this list for several years, but in was enhanced after reading "No Opportunity Wasted". By Phil Keoghan. I highly recommend reading the book and starting a life list of your own. If you or someone you know can help me achieve and complete items on my list, please contact me. Run a marathon - Completed October 2001. Fly an Airplane - Completed.

Stuff I cannot run without. Lazy Chick Runs Too. No excuses, just do it. September 22, 2012. Training paces and random thoughts. Since procrastination is my last name, I will do my weekly summary for weeks 5 and 6 together after tomorrow… What a lazy chick. I want to talk about training paces today. How many of you read other people's blog and compare to your own and wondered, why in the hell am I running so slow? From all the articles, running forums that I read, the cumulative information is that.

Friday, December 16, 2011. So this is what morning looks like. For a good part of the year, I had been longing to make it out for a morning run before work. But my efforts typically went like this:. Make a running date to meet early. Wonder late at night why I made such a date. Cancel alarm in the middle of the night. Text running date cancelling. Lay in nice warm bed. I was determined to make this happen before years end. This past week I emailed Aron of RunnersRambles. Why, hello early morning moon!

Boston 2:55
Monday, April 25, 2011. The final, final, final hill on the Boston course is the relatively short stretch up Hereford before you make the left onto Boylston. I've cramped up on this hill in the past, but not today. Today was different. I still had something left in the tank to get me over the hump. Cut the tangent on the turn, look out for that pothole, don't turn too wide. 35 miles, huh? I should be able to do that within 1:40 with fresh legs. I couldn't believe how close this was actually going to be.
