May 11, 2010 · 6:36 pm. I can eat anything. Really. Anything. Well, except stuff that will break my braces. But no food is off limit anymore. I can chew like a real person.😀. I made this recipe. Tonight, and it occurs to me that it would be a tasty and healthy meal for someone who just got chewing clearance and is relearning how to eat. Enjoy! 2 responses to “. I can eat anything. And they’re off →. November 8, 2010 · 7:44 pm. Get ready, get set. I will have my braces removed on December 27. That will be 1 year, 7 months and 23 days since I started treatment, which is just a little over the 18 month minimum that I was quoted from going from a sad open bite to a happy new smile. Yeah! I’m going to celebrate by biting through an apple and eating some corn on the cob. And they’re off →. 4 responses to “. Get ready, get set. November 11, 2010 at 12:45 pm. That’s on my birthday! Monthly Archives: July 2015. July 4, 2015 · 12:04 pm. Oral myofunctional therapy update. I have now had four months of oral myofunctional therapy, and it has made a world of difference. I can now close my lips without significant straining in my chin muscles. The left side of my tongue is no longer soft but now has muscles similar to those on the right side of my tongue. I now know where to put my tongue in my mouth when it is resting! Got a great jaw-friendly recipe for Jaw Nom Nom? A smile connects us.

Keeping my eye on the prize. Friday, June 18, 2010. This could be me in 6 short months. Wednesday, June 9, 2010. 5 Weeks Since Surgery. I've lost 12lbs so far and holding. I eat a chocolate shake every night. I know that's coming to an end as soon as I get my clearance to eat real food. I better slow down now so that I don't gain too much weight. I actually would like to stay the weight I am now and not gain back the 12lbs. I don't know if that will happen. Thursday, June 3, 2010. 4 Weeks Since Surgery.

Keeping my eye on the prize. Sunday, July 11, 2010. It's been a year since I got my braces on. I remember the first thing I did after my braces were on was to ride the COG Railroad up to the top of Pikes Peak. I have already decided that will be the last thing I do to finish off my braces journey. That will be like a round trip up and back from the Peak. Symbolic in a way. I hope everyone is doing well! He also may have to shave the bone down slightly if I had some overgrowth. Sometimes that happens with an infection. I asked the nurse how often this happens and I didn't get a very straight answer. She just said "not that often". Anyway, your prayers are always appreciated. Hugs! September 15, 2010 at 7:15 PM. All the be...

keeping my eye on the prize: Surprise, No Loose Screws
http://keepingmyeyeontheprize.blogspot.com/2010/09/surprise-no-loose-screws.html
Keeping my eye on the prize. Thursday, September 16, 2010. Surprise, No Loose Screws. It came as a big surprise to my husband that I don't have a screw loose. He's just sure there's another one in there that's causing me to be so weird. I told him to just wait until he has a procedure and I'll tease him. I woke in recovery in pain which made me think the pain would only get worse, but it didn't. Actually, I feel fantastic now! September 16, 2010 at 8:10 PM. Great news, I so glad to hear all went well!
