Constantly Learning: February 2014
http://bradcunningham.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
A sporadically updated view into my world. Saturday, February 01, 2014. Incorporating indigenous ways of knowing and being into my classroom. One of the paths that I have been on for a long time, although it has become clearer in the last six months, is opening myself to becoming (more) comfortable with introducing indigenous ways of knowing and being into my classroom practice. I have had some strong guides in the journey in the last few months – Gail Higginbottom. And most recently Corrine Michel.
Constantly Learning: If one ever needed inspiration...

A sporadically updated view into my world. Tuesday, September 28, 2010. If one ever needed inspiration. While Reid Coolsaet's blog is on my regular reading list, I wonder how many others have liked to his latest post (I know Liam. Is all over it). That extra 200m over 42km makes these calculations a bitch during a marathon. Truer words have never been spoken. Thanks for the inspiration. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Constantly Learning: Full Iceland 55k Ultramarathon Recap
http://bradcunningham.blogspot.com/2007/07/race-recap-part-one.html
A sporadically updated view into my world. Monday, July 16, 2007. Full Iceland 55k Ultramarathon Recap. Notice the little people near the snow (they are very little). There are also two videos which I took during the race (sorry for the naughty language). This is now the FULL recap. Sorry for the delay in posting it - internet access and time to write have been difficult to come by. The campsite at the start of the race. The beginning of the race. The view from near the top of the hill - looking backwards.

Pistol Runs: August 2009
http://pistolruns.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2009. Around 5:30am on Sunday morning my brain started dreaming. For the first time in a long while I dreamt about running, about training with my friends back in Loughborough, experiencing that freedom and that expression through my feet. I'm not sure whether it was the altitude increase in being up in Whistler, or maybe the log cabin we were sleeping in, but something affected me in the early hours. Links to this post. Thursday, August 20, 2009. End of the Summer. Went down with a co...
Pistol Runs: Happy Birthday Ryan Hall
http://pistolruns.blogspot.com/2009/10/run-of-results.html
Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Happy Birthday Ryan Hall. Today is Ryan Hall's birthday so I thought I'd put up a quick video. What an inspiration to Christian athletes everywhere; a man I really respect for everything he does and strives to achieve through sport. I wouldn't mind being able to run as fast as him as well! Happy birthday Ryan, and good luck for the New York Marathon! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I run in the path of Your commands, for You have set my heart free - Psalm 119:32. 8230;and...

Fitness, Geek stuff. Archive for March, 2009. Older Entries ». March 28, 2009. We had our second blood test this morning to make sure everything was still going well. The HCG number was supposed to have doubled. Ours tripled. Our baby be growin’! For the uninitiated HCG is an acronym for something that doctors check. I think the G is growing, but I’m not positive. I’m pretty sure the H is for Hair. I hope the little ‘un has more than me. Tomorrow I’ll hit the bike before we head to my parents for a...

Fitness, Geek stuff. Archive for November, 2012. October recap and November preview. November 2, 2012. October Training Recap and November Preview. This was the month I was supposed to really break through in my training. And I did. For about two weeks. Then the running slowed to nothing, I rarely lifted weights and nothing got done to push me closer to my goal. By the end of the month, I was over my original starting weight for the month and severely undertrained. I’ve lost too many days and weeks this ...

Fitness, Geek stuff. Laquo; Movin’ On Up. April 19, 2009. You are so small, yet your impact on us has already been bigger than we could have imagined. I think of you often, imagine you yawning, stretching and doing your best to grow and grow and grow. I worry too. That I won’t be able to give you everything and I hope you’ll forgive me in any ways that I fail you. Until then know that our hearts are yours and you are our everything. So much love, you’ll be great parents. I know it. Enter your comment here.
The Running Therapist.: October 2013

A view inside the life of a runner coming up in the city of Vancouver. Tuesday, October 15, 2013. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. Hello and welcome back runners and readers. Suffering through the Pinetree Classic XC. One of the most frustrating things has been the lack of speed I have. I want to train and push myself, but whenever I do, I'm limping around for two days after. I am feeling stronger and the improvements are like molasses in January but I'll take any gains right now. The first r...
Running Tough: Gunner Shaw 10k (Victoria)

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Gunner Shaw 10k (Victoria). November 27, 2010. I've been busy on another project (which I will be announcing here soon) so I've unfortunately fallen behind in posting this, but here it is. In preparation for the conditions, I had brought a couple of options for footwear. After doing my warm-up on part of the course with Shawn Nelson and realizing that things were definitely slippery, I opted to go with my regular trail runners outfitted with. I ran with Sean for the next km or ...
Pistol Runs: November 2009
http://pistolruns.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 27, 2009. Back in the VFAC Game. What a difference a training group makes. Last night I returned to VFAC having last seen their friendly faces in the last week of July between trips to Germany and Luxembourg. That blazing hot night I collapsed at the end of the session at Beaver Lake from chronic fatigue and dehydration, dizzy, disorientated and stumbling I was delirious. Once at the three mile mark I found myself running at a fair lick without too much trouble. I was breathing heavi...
Pistol Runs: Smashed... Me, Not the Marathon
http://pistolruns.blogspot.com/2009/10/smashed-me-not-marathon.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Smashed. Me, Not the Marathon. Sorry for the delay in getting a report online after Echternach but I've been busy recovering. Here's how the race panned out:. I started well enough alongside Georges Krier and there was a nice pack developing through the first few kilometres, although on a few twisty narrow sections we did get a bit tangled up and some of the lankier runners weren't particularly considerate. Hot tea, reassurance and a nice shiny medal made me feel better but bot...
