http://gilbertsforhisglory.blogspot.com/2015/03/adoption-update.html
Adopting a Child with HIV. Saturday, March 7, 2015. My last post, almost four months ago, was an adoption update that was hard to write. This one is even harder. But as I just read over my words from that last update. My heart was encouraged again by the unchanging character of our God who is always faithful, always good, and always right on time. I needed my own reminder to myself as share where we are currently in this process! Who is HIV positive. AGCI gave families the option of staying in the ET pro...

Our journey to bring our daughter home. We Received our I-800! What’s the time frame? We’ve been told it takes about 2 weeks from the time we receive the I-800 to get the NVC letter. That would be next Wednesday, but a PDF version can be requested. I requested one as soon as I knew how, but I’ve heard nothing. Crazy making I tell you! The kids are eager too, especially E. On May 31, our team is blessed with SIX summer missionaries coming to serve with us for the months of Ju...

Our journey to bring our daughter home. Monthly Archives: February 2015. Sorry for the delay in updates. We have not been sleeping like we once did. Our journey to bring our daughter home. From Orphan to Daughter. I have to share some pictures of our sweet little girl! She seems to love us already. She is going to fit in well. She likes to sleep and loves to laugh. We are so blessed! Our visit to the orphanage went well. Caris didn’t cry (thankfully) when we went or when we left. She played with the nannies but she was ready to go when it was time. I hope our pictures and video will be good for her later. Her nanny politely asked if she could feed he...

Our journey to bring our daughter home. Hope you all are off to a great 2015! And walks holding our fingers. She loves her big brother and sister and they love her. We taught all our kids some very basic sign language before they could talk (to teach them to use “words” and not scream). She signs “more”, “eat”, “milk”, and “bath”. Our first week home she woke up in the middle of the night (A LOT! She is soooooooo smart! All of our kids have endured their parents’ goofy idea of “Crazy Hair Dor...She must ...
