one crazy little chicken: blessing
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/2014/03/blessing.html
My side of the family. In the LDS Church, we have a special blessing that new babies receive. It's a wonderful, spiritual time that allows us to celebrate the new baby and welcome him or her into our church family. It allows an opportunity for Heavenly Father to bless one of His sweet children directly. For TJ's blessing, we had so many of our wonderful family members come out! It was a real treat to see so many of our loved ones, and to show off our adorable kiddo. It was so fun to have so many people!

one crazy little chicken: blessed
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/2015/08/blessed.html
Eli was blessed on July 26. Because we ended up doing it the Sunday after the family reunion. There were still lots of people from my mom's family in town! Almost all of my aunts and uncles from here side were able to bring their families. We felt so blessed to have so many people there to love and support Eli! We were not very early, but thankfully some of the family had showed up and saved a couple pews. It was such a sweet experience. I am so grateful that Tyler holds the priesthood. I really, really ...

one crazy little chicken: us
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/p/us.html
Tyler and I were married March 16, 2012 in the Seattle, Washington temple. We met going to school at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. Right now we live in Utah, where Tyler is attending Law School. We like good food, dirt biking, reading, and Sunday cuddles. We have two sweet boys, TJ and Eli (also known as Monkey Boy and Baby Bear). I started this blog in 2008, when I was still in high school. Hopefully it tells a little bit of my story. I like to write about my life. Thanks for checking us out! All content...

one crazy little chicken: Larson Reunion 2015
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/2015/07/larson-reunion-2015.html
It was fun and crazy and exhausting. The boys did great, and TJ had a so much fun time playing with all the cousins! He wore himself completely ragged, and you could definitely tell by the last day that he was way overstimulated. He was so happy to be home. Here are some of the things we did, in photo-dump form. Packed alot of crap. Diaper changes in the car. Worked on bikes with dad, grandpa, and uncle Logan. Stayed in this sweet lodge. TJ's first motorcycle ride. Ellen made sarcastic faces. Im thinking...

A window to my modest world: September 2014

A window to my modest world. A collection of spontaneous thoughts, whimsy, and arbitrary randomness. Thursday, September 25, 2014. What happens when they have a change of heart? But God doesn't. In fact, He does the opposite. He forgets the bad and sees only the repentant and penitent good. Isn't that wonderful? To know that no matter how badly you mucked up today, God will forgive and forget when you change? Labels: Beautiful Thing Thursday. Thursday, September 18, 2014. Labels: Beautiful Thing Thursday.

A window to my modest world: Beautiful Thing Thursdays

A window to my modest world. A collection of spontaneous thoughts, whimsy, and arbitrary randomness. Thursday, September 11, 2014. Hello again, Gentle Readers. I'm sorry I've neglected you for so long. I've been busy with life and other things (mostly washing dishes) and I've never professed to be a consistent blogger. Or possibly a consistent anything other than voracious reader and lover of chocolate- some things never change. But some things do, and hopefully this is one of them. We are planted as well.

A window to my modest world. A collection of spontaneous thoughts, whimsy, and arbitrary randomness. Monday, June 13, 2011. For circumstances that frustrate. For plans that fail. But most of all. That I am not. All you wanted me to be. Testing, testing, one two three. For all those millions of people who follow my blog as if their life depended on it, please disregard this post. one crazy little chicken: May 2015
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
I was bad this time around, and did all of my baby prep (nursery, washing clothes, packing hospital bag) back at like 30 weeks. That leaves me with nothing to do for the next four weeks but wait. I'm a super nazi about housework because I don't want to go in to labor and be behind on the laundry, or have dishes piled in the sink! For the most part our house has been really. Symptoms include the usual: major waddling, soreness, and heartburn. My guess is my amniotic fluid is a little low because I've been...

one crazy little chicken: 2 months of Eli
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/2015/08/2-months-of-eli.html
2 months of Eli. All these pictures are from when he was closer to six weeks. He is getting so big so fast. He's starting to resemble TJ as he fills in more. Height: 22.5 inches. Weight: 11.51 pounds. He has started smiling, mostly at me and at the ceiling. I love it and (of course) never get the camera out in time. He is so sweet and mellow. He has started talking to me a little bit, but just to me. This kid is a mama's boy through and through and I LOVE it! Bath time is just the best! Im glad nursing h...

one crazy little chicken: faith
http://summersun8.blogspot.com/p/i-believe.html
Tyler and I are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints. This means that we believe in basic Christian principals, as well as a few other things. One of the most important is our belief that families can be together forever. Tyler and I were married in the temple, and because we were sealed there we will be together again after death. To learn more, check out mormon.org. You can also read what I've written about my beliefs:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). See what else I've read. All cont...
