On Saturday I attended a photography workshop and was quite surprised to learn that the promised photo safari to an “undisclosed breath-taking location” meant walking out into a parking lot. We safari-ed about 30 feet. It looked like this:. Perhaps when the brochure said “breath-taking location” it was referring to the cigarette smoke from the patrons outside of the coffee shop. Commentary on the ART in PHOTOGRAPHY and the ART in LIFE. August 13, 2009. Crispy pigs, hula dancing, tiki torches and. sweaters? Although it was really fun, shooting an evening luau that had lots of quick action and dancing without a formal lighting setup proved challenging. I spent most of the evening dreaming of a super fast, kick-butt, "L" series Canon lens to better achieve my artistic vision with.
