Day 100 – Bree Hikes

Total PCT miles: 2425. All of my gear went from being completely soaked to being dry and semi-clean. After multiple days of great food I feel great. With new insoles and socks my shins and feet feel much better! I have not laughed as hard as I did the last few days the entire trip. I continued to laugh as I was climbing up the hills today thinking about yesterday’s blog and the fun times I shared with Tenderfoot and Fruit Salad. Thank you for your extremely nice final thoughts! A lot of section hikers.

Total PCT miles: 2578. I’m sharing a great cabin in Stehekin with Lint and Juice. This area is beautiful! The famous bakery was everything I hoped it would be. —Lint and Juice didn’t let the bus leave me behind at the bakery! I made it to the bus with 13 minutes to spare. I pretty much had to run the 22 miles to the bus today to make it on time. There are quite a few thru-hikers here, some who have finished and come back south from the border. Life lesson of the day:. Total PCT miles: 2476. Less than 200 miles to go! I’m staying at the Dinsmores tonight. They are amazing trail angles! She washed my clothes while I took a shower! I had a tough day today. A lot of huge mice. Lint is on his way here now! Excited he finally caught up! A great guy gave me a ride to retrieve my box, and then also to the trail angles house. It was a lot of driving around for him, but was a huge blessing for me. Thank you! Sorry I stunk up your car:). Life lesson of the day:. August 15, 2013.

Getting over to Stehekin is no small task, since there are no roads into this small mountain area. It requires getting a ride into Leavenworth, taking a bus from Leavenworth to Lake Chelan, and then taking a boat across Lake Chelan to Stehekin. And tell Borealis that I hope to see him in Canada.
