Dumelang Batswana!: Hot Dogs 1, Interns 0
http://brianinbotswana.blogspot.com/2009/06/sun-has-just-reappeared-from-behind-3.html
Thoughts from an American in the Kalahari. Thursday, June 11, 2009. Hot Dogs 1, Interns 0. The sun has just reappeared from behind a 3-day-long bout of rain here in Gabs, and it's definitely a welcome sight! Just when it felt like I was never going to be able to dry laundry ever again or avoid getting splashed with mud along the road to work, things got much better :). The best parts of the game, by far, were sitting next to the Zebras fan club and watching the brilliant African sunset go down over the p...

http://brianinbotswana.blogspot.com/2009/06/meeting-leo.html
Thoughts from an American in the Kalahari. Friday, June 26, 2009. White person) finds himself in Botswana. You know how, sometimes, you get a vibe from some stranger that they can be trusted? Well, maybe life has jaded me into always having some baseline reservation about talking to people on the street, but this is Botswana and Leo seemed like (and is) a good guy. Leina la gago ke mang? Which was fun but I failed horribly at. (It takes me tons of repetition to get things down.). June 26, 2009 at 9:05 PM.

June 9, 2009 at 7:29 AM. Dude, Im playing tug-o-war with the IRB myself. :P Sounds really cool over there. Tell me about the local food! In Ghana, we had lots of meat, potatoes, and stews. Speculations from the Subcontinent. And echoes with the sound of baseball. Okfirst one to name the song reference gets 100 rupees. So March Madness doesn't have quite the same appeal to my Indian cohorts as is does to those back home in Ctown and the Chi. I've still stayed up into the wee hours of the morning to watch my Dookies stave off elimination and advance to the SWEET 16. It's been a while since I've been able to say that and am currently savoring the flavor. The children were divided up by age gr...

Fun Fact for the Day. I really miss having fun facts of the day. In memory, I just learned that in the Basque Country, there is 1 bar/pub for every 70 people. Compare that to Oklahoma with 1 bar per 10,192 people and I am laughing my head off! The Basque Country is actually numero uno in this stat. I am admitting defeat. Today, has been a great day though! So much is going on. Today though has been so awesome that I can’t help but to write it down. I am definitely excited to test myself though! Tomorrow ...
