SEMESTER ABROAD: various adventures from the first two weeks.

http://www.brianinba.blogspot.com/2007/07/various-adventures-from-first-two-weeks.html

Various adventures from the first two weeks. Pretty houses painted in all different colors. the history behind the place: la boca used to be the main port of buenos aires, and because the people living around the port were so poor, they would steal buckets of paint from incoming ships, and because there was never much paint, they just painted what they could. hence the multicolored buildings! Tango dancers in la boca. Whitney and me about to dig in to our parilla. Look at all that meat! La plaza de mayo.

http://kellyhutson.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Who thinks Krakow is amazing? I do, I do! I made good friends with three or four Polish people who were in my Dutch course. The trip was just amazing! Cool castles and cathedrals, lots of green hilly areas, fun market square (it's huge-10 acres! City center at night. Me and the view.

Robin scored with lots of gifts, but she really didn't have room to pack everything. Our staged-photo time: it was really cold in that bar. This was NOT staged! Gelukkig Nieuw Jaar 2008.

Fun Fact for the Day. I really miss having fun facts of the day. In memory, I just learned that in the Basque Country, there is 1 bar/pub for every 70 people. Compare that to Oklahoma with 1 bar per 10,192 people and I am laughing my head off! The Basque Country is actually numero uno in this stat. I am admitting defeat. Today, has been a great day though! So much is going on. Today though has been so awesome that I can’t help but to write it down. I am definitely excited to test myself though! Tomorrow ...
