Making cookies for santa! Her new favorite place to be. This is Corinne at the aquarium for the first time. She loved the seals.

Future Poltergeist: July 2015
http://futurepoltergeist.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Daily bits of my life. Friday pictures. And a neverending series of reading projects. Sunday, July 05, 2015. I almost always enjoy my visits to historical fiction but I don't go there often enough. This list from Hugh Hewitt. Looks like a very good one. He emphasizes a kind of reverse chronology approach, which probably compels the reader to keep asking 'what caused that? He also emphasizes series by authors who really know what they're doing. Looks like good stuff. Links to this post.

News from DD4's Cottage: February 2015

News from DD4's Cottage. Saturday, February 21, 2015. Delta Airlines couldn't have been nicer. Shortly after we learned our flight was being delayed, they brought a big array of snacks for us to munch on. I chose this box which contains 3 tiny chicken sandwiches (I ate one—didn't care for it), a protein bar and some orange juice. Today I had my car jump started and then went to my car dealership and had a new battery installed. It should be good for a long time. Friday, February 20, 2015. It was a thrill...

Daily bits of my life. Friday pictures. And a neverending series of reading projects. Friday, June 27, 2014. It seems like forever since AFI was doing their '100 Movies' specials. Which is a shame. Seems that it's been too long for someone else too. A new list has emerged. Is it wrong to already declare this the No. 1 movie list of all time? The actual list is here. 87 LOTR: Return of the King. 82 LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring. 57 The Dark Knight. 56 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I know some peop...

Daily bits of my life. Friday pictures. And a neverending series of reading projects. Friday, August 29, 2014. Years ago I blogged about the next great solar eclipse in the United States. It will happen on August 21st, 2017, just a couple of days before Relia turns ten. I told her we would go to see it and I intend to keep that promise. Some enterprising folks have mapped out the path of the eclipse here. Who's up for a little road trip? Links to this post. Friday, August 22, 2014. I'm fine with both the...

Daily bits of my life. Friday pictures. And a neverending series of reading projects. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Is there a city with better detective stories than LA? Only London comes close. We've discovered the trick to getting the kids to fall asleep while reading to them. Read from Kipling. Civil war in Egypt. The beneficiary is the player with the most unit points left in storage. A look at how we, as readers, are changing. The Age of Prohibition: Creativity on the Web. A great harbour of ideas itself and a site well worth taking a look at, hosted a Lessig talk in which he discusses this very idea of creativity. The full video can be seen here. Interestingly Lessig, a lawyer himself, points the finger at law when explaining that it is a field which is all too rarely drawn to the realm of common sense. If you gathered every video on Youtube. Well yeah, it kinda owns. November 4, 2008. Well I am almost finished with my website and to my relief, I have finally implemented a photo gallery to share my doodles. The gallery I chose was quite hard to get my head around and thus extremely frustrating to get working! I chose to use “Lightbox 2.04” by Lokesh Dhakar. Also, in order for my images to display how I wanted them to on my page, I had to implement a. Which made sure only the horizontal scroll bar appeared. October 29, 2008. October 29, 2008.
