My ramblings about knitting, spinning, reading, and living life. Friday, March 31, 2006. WE INTERUPT THE RED SMOOTHIE CARDIGAN TO BRING YOU AN IMPORTANT BREAK FROM BOREDOM. Yes, it's true. I spent a good portion of yesterday sitting with ice on my back and knitting on things other than the red cardie. Don't get me wrong, I do love it still, but it is so slow going I really needed to see some significant progress. Given the fact that there are a couple (? Other projects on needles, I chose these:. The fun...

Nautie KAL: August 2006
http://nautie.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 02, 2006. I've been dying a lot of yarn for socks and whenever I knit them, there's always leftover yarn. For a while I was making baby hats with it, but now that I discovered Nautie, I think it is a great use for all those leftovers! So here's my first Nautie, in a blue/brown pattern. I think the small, yet increasing circumference of the Nautie really accentuates the color pattern of this sock yarn well. Posted by Ana at 10:18 AM. The pattern appears in The Spring '06 issue of Knitty.

The Panopticon: Meet Dolores
http://the-panopticon.blogspot.com/2006/03/meet-dolores.html
Friday, March 10, 2006. You can't learn to spin without fiber, so a couple of weeks ago I sent away to an online operation specializing in such things and ordered two pounds of Romney roving. I've heard from so many people that Romney is a good beginner's wool that I decided to go with it. Last night after work I was kntting on the Regicide Scarf. Absolutely," I said. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. And then I opened the door, and then I saw this. Hi," said the sheep. Hello," I said.

That Crazy Chick Who Knits: Norberta -- Knitty Winter '06
http://crazy-colorado-knitter.blogspot.com/2006/12/norberta-knitty-winter-06.html
That Crazy Chick Who Knits. The Crazy Colorado Knitter - she knits, she purls, she spins, she weaves. Tuesday, December 12. Norberta - Knitty Winter '06. The belly is VERY VERY Round. There's not really much direction to match pieces together - there's not any obvious "corners" to match, except the neck decreases. On this piece, I hadn't figured out to use mattress stitch, and my stitching's rather crude. Suggested - she was knitting Norberta with worsted on 3's, and had a babier-dragon than I had. W...
