Hillwalking in the UK without the crowds. Wednesday, 9 December 2009. The Giant’s Chair of Natsworthy and Jay's Grave. 8217; What role could it have, being both pointless and unusable, but at the same time really rather good? And with that question, the answer became obvious: it must be art. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Look, no hands! Different things to do in London. View from the upper circle. View from the upper circle. Theatre in the south of England on a budget. Friday, 11 February 2011. Mark Thomas at the Exeter Phoenix. After the show we stayed for a beer, and after a while were shocked to see Thomas appear in the bar area wearing a suit. A suit? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom. View from the upper circle. Theatre in the south of England on a budget. Wednesday, 22 September 2010. Felix Dennis at the Exeter Phoenix. Yesterday I went to see a poet. This was a rather odd thing for me to do as poetry isn't usually my thing. Or rather, the kind of poetry I got forced to study in English classes at school isn't my thing. I truly thought that the vast majority of poems in the GCSE syllabus were dire. Emblazoned across the top. I'm a student. Go figure. This was good wine.

View from the upper circle. Theatre in the south of England on a budget. Tuesday, 24 August 2010. La Bête at the Comedy Theatre, London. Molière, the real one. The play opens to the scene of a dinner party, the guests of which are members of an acting troupe retained by a Princess who sees herself as a patron of the arts. However, all is not well and the troupe’s leader Elomire (can you see what Hirson did there? The play's message is one that we have heard many times before, and the whole thing is hardl...

View from the upper circle. Theatre in the south of England on a budget. Friday, 26 February 2010. Waiting for Godot' at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Being able to stretch my legs out? Sitting in a seat with a padded back? I'd better not get used to it, or things could get expensive. Monday, 8 February 2010. An Inspector Calls' at Wyndham's Theatre. Yes, water really does come tumbling down, right there on the stage, so that the actors’ clothes get wet and mucky. Marvellous. It is this piece of informat...

The Antisocial Hiker: Man in wheelchair abandoned on Snowdon
http://antisocialhiker.blogspot.com/2009/11/man-in-wheelchair-abandoned-on-snowdon.html
Hillwalking in the UK without the crowds. Tuesday, 3 November 2009. Man in wheelchair abandoned on Snowdon. The mountain rescue team was, unsurprisingly, less than impressed. Fifteen people carried the by then rather cold man to the railway and the train took him down to the valley bottom. Any person with half an ounce of consideration would go for the first option, and so of course this sorry lot plumped for the second. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Antisocial Hiker: Have the Brecon Beacons ever looked so good?
http://antisocialhiker.blogspot.com/2010/02/have-brecon-beacons-ever-looked-so-good.html
Hillwalking in the UK without the crowds. Tuesday, 23 February 2010. Have the Brecon Beacons ever looked so good? The Brecon Beacons National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty beloved of British Army trainees, who frequent it for weekends of exercise, fresh air and teamwork. We carried on through the col at 057206 and onto the next area of plateau, at which point the view really struck us:. Pen y Fan looked like a monster! We wandered back through the col and onwards to the eastern edge of th...
