Friday, January 30, 2009. Hello, my name is Katie Hettich. I am a sophomore at A&M Commerce majoring in biology. I plan on teaching high school colorguard, winterguard and biology after I graduate. I am very involved in colorguard and winterguard throughout the year. I have tought cologuard at local high schools as well as written high school shows. Thursday, March 5, 2009. Week 7 Blog Posting. I think educators should try to go as far as possible to match technology in the classroom and instruction to the technology students use. Students will already be knowledgeable and comfortable with the technology so they will know how to use it, and they might enjoy it more if it something they are familiar with. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. The site is okay for people who use the Internet a lot. I don't spend much time on the computer so it doesn't benefit me. I won't use the site because I don't frequently visit the same websites over and over. To like them because it lets you post what you want and how you fell about a certain topic in either sports,school etc. 2I think blogs would be very useful in education even more now then ever. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Thursday, April 2, 2009. The assignments I did this week went really well. I enjoyed making my teacher brochure and resume and felt it was really beneficial to know how to do. I thought the brochure was really fun to create, and I think it is something I will use when I begin teaching. Wednesday, February 11, 2009. I enjoyed using excel for a grade book and worksheet I found that it can be very useful. I would use it in my classroom, I think students would enjoy learning using excel. Using a spreadsheet over a calculator is better because you can save all the grades without having to redo them.
