My Bronx - '60s & 70s

My Bronx - '60s and 70s. Thursday, February 01, 2007. I worked in the 7th Ave. building (top) from June 1976 - April 1977 for a company called Media Records. They subscribed to a whole slew of newspapers from around the country and I worked in the archive room, putting the papers in their correct slot, opening the mailbags each morning, and making a daily delivery to Times Square. There was a Blimpie's sandwich place at the bottom of the building. Mmmmm! Posted by Charles Cozic at 11:04 AM. Another reaso...

My Bronx - '60s & 70s: November 2006

http://bronxmemories.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

My Bronx - '60s and 70s. Saturday, November 11, 2006. 218 East 67th Street. This past September browsing the internet, I found this photo of my very first home, 218 E. 67th St. in Manhattan (between 2nd and 3rd Aves.). That this photo even exists is a minor miracle, and the fact I discovered it somewhat more, as I have not been able to relocate the website after much searching. The website was some photo archive with many different locales in New York City. What time of year? Wednesday, November 08, 2006.

Once a Kid

Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Once A Kid" Excerpt - Ralph and Red Cross the Country. We had a ride. My driver told me they we would all meet up at Bud's Truck Stop in Dayton, Ohio. Okay! Talk about rattled nerves! Our eventually making contact was remarkable. My driver finally left me saying that they might be in Indianapolis. Thanks a lot! The next thing I knew was we were making plans to meet-up once again. It would probably take at least eight-hours to get there. Right! Posted by Once a Kid. Sunday, Dec...

Bronx Mets Fans

Brave souls indeed. More than 1,350,000 people live in the Bronx. I would venture as a guess somewhere around 4% of us admit to being New York Mets fans. Monday, April 19, 2010. Out with the Old. Saturday, April 17, 2010. Perez had been in command all evening, mixing speeds on his breaking ball and demonstrating qualities – poise, determination, and focus – that are not usually attached to the volatile left-hander. The Mets hadn’t really figured out Chris Carpenter all evening – in fact it to...Well, hop...
