Friday, March 7. The Story of the Broken Jaw. Let me just get the bragging out of the way right away. Bryce is one tough kid, y'all! I've personally stood by while he barely complained when he split his chin open to the bone, bit through his tongue, had double ear infections, a hand covered in fire ants.brain surgery. He barely seemed to notice at all. So with a clean bill of health from the pediatrician I took Bryce to school. No report from them led me to believe that they weren't noticing anything...
Bryce Alexander Moline: Turtle
http://www.brycemoline.com/p/turtle.html
Welcome to the temporary home for our Turtle Infant Crawling Aid. I developed the Turtle with my father as a means to motivate my son Bryce to move forward after he learned to roll. The Turtle is currently patent pending and in prototype testing. Just One Good Push. Scientific and Anecdotal Information. And here's a research article regarding the correlation between reading difficulties and movement difficulties in young children. The Turtle is currently available in prototype form, free of charge, to fa...
Bryce Alexander Moline: Long Overdue Post
http://www.brycemoline.com/2010/03/long-overdue-post.html
Wednesday, March 31. So much has happened since I last posted I'm not sure where to start or what to include. Bryce got sick - he got a cough that turned into pneumonia and had to have three medications daily including an inhaled steroid as often as every 2 1/2 hours. But it worked and after a few days he began smiling again. And we didn't have to go back to the hospital this time! Now I have no idea but my heart aches for them. Thu Apr 01, 10:42:00 PM. Its so hard to believe how big Bryce has grown....
Bryce Alexander Moline: Life After the NICU
http://www.brycemoline.com/2014/02/life-after-nicu.html
Wednesday, February 19. Life After the NICU. Bryce and I have been working with videographer, Whitney Milam, for the last few months on a special PSA video for Hand to Hold. The title is Life after the NICU and the idea is to give a realistic view of what a day in the life of a NICU graduate can be like. We shot several hours of video spread out over several different days and locations. Labels: hand to hold. Dont be shy, let us know you stopped in! Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ). Bryce Alexander Moline: 2/9/14 - 2/16/14
http://www.brycemoline.com/2014_02_09_archive.html
Tuesday, February 11. Bryce took his very first independent steps last summer while we were in Michigan for the Conductive Learning Center's summer camp. We were at the toddler play area at the mall and if my dad hadn't happened to have been standing right next to me, witnessing them, I truly wouldn't have believed my eyes. Try as I might, getting this on video has been impossible. He'll do it once, completely out of the blue and then fall trying to do it again for the video. BUT today, I finally got it!

Birth Story — The Long Road Home:Cayden's Story
http://www.nateandtami.com/birth-story
The Long Road Home:Cayden's Story. Our micro-preemie son's journey. The Neonatologist, Dr. C, came in there and introduced himself. he explained that so much of how Cayden would do depended on how big he was, etc. Then the anesthesiologist came in to talk to me. During this time, my gown is thrown up and I’m being shaved for surgery – all at the same time! After that the nurse anestologist came in and started getting me hooked up to the monitors. The doctor told Nate during surgery that I probably saved ...
Twingate: Benched
http://twingate2010.blogspot.com/2012/04/benched.html
Saturday, April 28, 2012. Emotional memory is a ruthless beast. It perches in your subconscious, lying in wait for something to trigger its attack. A smell, an experience or a time of year can send you back to a place you thought you had left behind, had recovered from, or at least didn't expect to visit again. Damn Here I am again. First I was upset. I spent all of Wednesday at my own personal pity party playing the "why me? I'm currently 32 weeks, 4 days. That leaves 10 days and counting of trashy ...
Twingate: Holding Pattern
http://twingate2010.blogspot.com/2011/12/holding-pattern.html
Thursday, December 8, 2011. It's day 2 of Operation Seizure Free Harper. The swelling in Harper's head is much more dramatic this morning. Her right eye is even swollen shut. I've been reassured that's normal, but it is pretty grotesque. I already thought her scar had a Frankenstein quality to it and now with the swelling, my comparison isn't too far off. But, of course, I love my little Frankenbaby! She has been pointing at Harper's crib and high chair saying, "sissy? December 8, 2011 at 3:47 PM. Thats ...
Twingate: Very Hungry Harper
http://twingate2010.blogspot.com/2011/12/very-hungry-harper.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2011. This morning Harper woke up hungry. She ate through one cup diced strawberries, one can of peaches, four silver dollar pancakes with syrup, a dozen goldfish crackers and one cup of vanilla pudding. Whew! It's nice to see that she's getting her appetite back. December 15, 2011 at 5:53 PM. Excellent news from team Harper! December 15, 2011 at 5:54 PM. Oh not anonymous, its Mae. December 16, 2011 at 5:18 AM. Im new to your story, but loving the updates. On the other side.
Twingate: Ten years ago today
http://twingate2010.blogspot.com/2012/06/ten-years-ago-today.html
Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Ten years ago today. I am staring at the date I just wrote on the bag of breast milk I'm about to put in the freezer. Ten years ago today my dad died. So much has happened in the past decade. I think almost every day about what it would be like for my dad to be alive now. It breaks my heart that my kids will never know their grandfather. June 6, 2012 at 1:32 AM. Love you Girl and always proud of you! June 6, 2012 at 1:39 AM. Your dad was a big influence on me. I will always c...
Twingate: May 2012
http://twingate2010.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 10, 2012. Tomorrow is the day! Eliza (l) and Harper (r) came to see me in the hospital a couple of times. Needless to say, after twelve days in the hospital, I was feeling pretty deflated. But, I had made it to 34 weeks in my pregnancy, my blood pressure was stable and my doctor agreed to let me go home. Hallelujah! Harper is a rock star! Plus, Harper waited until I was home to do the most awesome thing! She sat up from laying on her back all on her own! My final pregnant photo! 5-11-12 see...
Twingate: Coming up for air: A recap of 2012 so far
http://twingate2010.blogspot.com/2012/01/coming-up-for-air-recap-of-2012-so-far.html
Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Coming up for air: A recap of 2012 so far. Well, I told 2012 to bring it on. Turns out, after many tests and as many hours in the ER, it was determined that there was no shunt malfunction, but that Harper had ileus. We emerged triumphant, many poopy diapers later, and returned home for good on January 4, almost exactly one month after Harper's first surgery. Reunited and it feels so good! I've spent the last two weeks regrouping and enjoying having my family all in one place.

Living in Mommywood: Can I Feed Him?
http://livinginmommywood.blogspot.com/2010/11/can-i-feed-him.html
Stories and Memories of my life as a Mom, Wife and Friend. Sunday, November 14, 2010. Can I Feed Him? I had to remember to write this down! When Colton was 1 day old and Gavin came back up to the hospital to visit with my sister, he was puzzled by how I was going to feed the baby. It was time for him to eat, so I started to nurse him. Gavin saw what I was doing and asked, "how does he get milk out of there? He was as serious as can be and it was just the funniest thing! November 15, 2010 at 9:04 AM.

Living in Mommywood: March 2010
http://livinginmommywood.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Stories and Memories of my life as a Mom, Wife and Friend. Monday, March 15, 2010. Our much anticipated, wished and prayed for, very loved fourth child. I guess since all of our family knows and our boys know, it's time to post about it! I am trying to be positive and have had nothing but good bloodwork, doctor visits and sonograms so far. We saw the little heartbeat last week, had a good appointment today and I've gained 5 pounds, so I'm starting to feel like we just might have a baby in October! As we ...
Our micro-preemie son's journey — The Long Road Home:Cayden's Story
http://www.nateandtami.com/page/2
The Long Road Home:Cayden's Story. Our micro-preemie son's journey. Update – Fall 2012. Wow I don’t even know where to begin. Grab a drink and a snack. This is bound to be long, as I try to cover quite a few things. Then we discovered that he had quite a large sight word vocabulary that has steadily been building. He loves to recall the sight words to “read” to people and is building on his basic reading skills. Cayden has seen neurology, had an EGD, had a follow-up with GI, and physical medicine. All in...

Monday, June 2. What a whirlwind these last three days have been! We were up at 5 am on Saturday morning and didn't get to the hotel until 5 pm But all in all, we had a fairly uneventful trip. Bryce was the absolute model passenger on both flights. Mostly he made friends with the people within view of him, slept and snacked. I couldn't have hoped he would be any better. Truly. We're finally all settled in to the Homewood Suites now and today was Bryce's first day back at the Conductive Learning Center.

Bryce's Ramblings
Ravings of a Semi-Coherent Mind. Jun 16th, 2010. Heading Over to Blogger. Livejournal friends, the time has come. I've been with LJ now for over three years. More than 750 posts, total. But LJ has never really done that much for me. I've never been in love with the interface- and I really dislike how little control I have over how my blog looks and is laid out. Thus, I'm ditching Livejournal for Blogger. Where you'll get all the same scintillating insight and wit, just in a different layout. What I mean ...
