Troop 1852 Eagles’ Nest. March 1, 2015. April 7, 2015. Hola Scouts, Scouters and Parents! To coin Viper’s signature opener). We arrived at the church at our usual 1730 hours and departed right on “Scout” time (AKA: 10 minutes late) and caravaned to our destination – a short 90 minutes down the Southwest Freeway. Thank you to the adults who got us there! After a short trip and we arrived at Lake Texana. Finding our camp sites (in the dark, as usual), the SPL assigned camp sites and got everyone to work.

Troop 1852 Eagles’ Nest. Each campout includes Scouting skills, work toward rank advancement, and an outdoor activity emphasis. Every year Scouts vote upon camping goals for the year, and this determines our camping destinations. The Troop has recently enjoyed hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, fishing, and horseback riding adventures. Camping locations include Boy Scout camps, state parks, and area campsites. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. A small contingent from Troop 185 visited Gettysburg National Military Park August 1-4, 2015 and completed the "Gettysburg Heritage Trails" program to earn the badge/medal. Elements included hiking the Billy Yank and Johnny Reb Trails, Downtown Gettysburg, Visitor Center and National Cemetery, and visiting the Eisenhower National Historic Site.
