https://buildingthisnest.wordpress.com/2014/10/09/this-thing-called-motherhood
This thing called Motherhood. On October 9, 2014 · 6 Comments. It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything, and this time I have a really good excuse. This time I was busy growing and giving birth to a little human. This little boy has absolutely consumed my life, in the best possible way. It hasn’t been easy these past few months, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. He has given my life a whole new meaning and it’s an absolute joy to spend my days with him. This parenting gig is the most amazi...

https://buildingthisnest.wordpress.com/2014/10/13/the-new-house-part-one
The New House {Part One}. On October 13, 2014 · 2 Comments. As promised, I’m back with pictures of the new house. I took all of these quickly with my phone the day we got possession, so they aren’t great quality. I also don’t have a photo editing program at the moment, so nothing is cropped or brightened. Sorry! I’m going to separate the before pictures into two posts since there are several of them and I have lots to say about my ideas for the house :). Right off of the entry is the living room:. It was...

A Vintage Fairy: Shim Shimmery
http://www.avintagefairy.com/2012/07/shim-shimmery.html
Where to find me. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Has been visiting for the last week. Yesterday I posted a pic on Facebook. Of what projects Mom and I tackled while she was here. I should have included some football, swimming and rowdy kid pics, but too many other things to show. My Facebook fans got to decide what project showed up here first. So if you aren't a FB fan, I'd love to see you there so you can vote next time! The vote was unanimous for the new "barn wood wall". Then it was just a puzzle to fill ...

A Swell Place to Dwell: DIY Farmhouse Table
http://www.aswellplacetodwell.com/2012/07/diy-farmhouse-table.html
I have to admit that growing up, I never envisioned that an awesome weekend for my 30 year old self would be to build a new kitchen table - from scratch. Huh? But don't you buy tables from the furniture store for over $500? Well, yes.you can.or you can make your own in your way too crowded garage while your kid naps. I've shown you our glass table before. Go big or go home, right? We used plans off of Ana White's site. They are free - yippie! I am not going to take any credit for the actual building of t...
Our story | the newlywed wife

Adventures in our newlywed life. We met when we were young, Wyatt asked me to be his girlfriend when I was fifteen and he was sixteen. That was day 1. He asked me to be his wife on day 2,211, and we walked down the aisle on day 2,464. Now, we’re counting up to day 20,747. Math heads, have a ball with that one…). Cross Stitch Dresser
http://www.petalandply.com/2013/02/cross-stitch-dresser.html
February 11, 2013. Middot; 64 Comments. When I stumbled upon the beautiful colors and patterns of Eline Pellinkhof. I was immediately inspired. You may have seen her cross stitch rose wall mural floating around Pinterest. It’s gorgeous! While reading her blog I was even more drawn to the green, gray, white and cream colors of her work below. Should I paint a rose? What color(s) would look best? I found some Zig Woodcraft paint pens on clearance at the craft store and the color was chosen, Antique Gold.

Building Things Backwards
A way of creative undoing. Built my own vocoder in Reaper DAW - For No Reason. This is a seriously backwards project. It's built in Reaper using only stock plugins. Keep in mind the important fact that I am not a genius. There are probably a hundred better ways to do this just in Reaper, and there are probably 10,000 better ways to do it in an audio programming language. People build these with analog electronics. An interesting but incorrect fact: the Wikipedia article on the Vocoder. Noise Generator is...

Building Thought
The Great Light Bulb Panic of 2013. December 30, 2013. I was in my local home improvement store this last week of 2013. Ironically, I was there to pick up a couple LED lights (my favorite flood-style bulbs are HERE. While others in the same aisle were frantically stocking up on 40- and 60-watt incandescent bulbs before their manufacture and sale is banned on January 1, 2014. Apparently change is bad. Take, for example, these headlines: A Real Turn-Off: Last Phase of Light Bulb Ban Takes Effect Jan. 1.
