In memory of Jan

http://www.buildingthree.com/forJan.html

Jan C Jacobsen, retired CCBC Professor. Jan C Jacobsen, age 58, passed away on May 22 from complications resulting from an 18-month battle with cancer. At the time of her death, Jan was a patient at Wake Forest University Hospital in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The success of her students was one of Jan's greatest rewards. Indeed, it was Jan's thorough attention to detail and tireless devotion to her students that anchored the accomplishments of the graduates of the programs she helped to create.

Building My House

Every wise woman builds her house" Proverbs 14:1. How have you built your house today? Have you prayed for your spouse? Have you prayed for your children? Have you strengthen yourself with prayer and Bible study? Have you spoken words of genuine praise and encouragement? Have you been quick to listen and slow to speak in anger? Have you "tied the heartstrings" with your children? Marquette, Jolliet, LaSalle Maps. Brightly Beaming- FREE preschool curriculum. Five In A Row. Hands of a Child lapbooks. Food ...

Building Thought

The Great Light Bulb Panic of 2013. December 30, 2013. I was in my local home improvement store this last week of 2013. Ironically, I was there to pick up a couple LED lights (my favorite flood-style bulbs are HERE. While others in the same aisle were frantically stocking up on 40- and 60-watt incandescent bulbs before their manufacture and sale is banned on January 1, 2014. Apparently change is bad. Take, for example, these headlines: A Real Turn-Off: Last Phase of Light Bulb Ban Takes Effect Jan. 1.

Building Library 3.0

Building Library 3.0. Monday, December 1, 2014. Shifting language from 'reference librarian' and 'reference services' to 'research'. Research services. Be a 'researcher' - someone who does research, who participates and publishes, and someone who teaches others how to use info sources (in any medium) to do their own research. Sunday, January 31, 2010. A mate of mine is in deep for Twitter. Sometimes it seems he kind of believes. The lessons and principles apply to other 2.0 venues. And closer to something.
