My adventures through the Burgh. The Allegheny County Courthouse and Jail. October 7, 2011. The Allegheny County Courthouse is by far the most impressive building I have seen in Pittsburgh so far. Standing among skyscrapers and other modern buildings, you will not be able to miss the 1888, Renaissance style building with its Romanesque details.
