Joining us is simple and low cost. At the Annual General Meeting on 27th May 2014, members approved the proposal to increase subscriptions to 15.00 per annum for asingle member, 20.00 per annum for two members living at the same address and 40.00 per annum for corporate members. The change in subscription to take effect from 1st June 2015. It would greatly assist administration if members would pay subscriptions by Standing Order, rather than by cheque. The Magna Carta 800 reception in the Cathedral. The Magna Carta 800 reception in the Cathedral. On 28th October, the Bury Society hosted the last of the Magna Carta 800 Celebrations in the nave of our beautiful Cathedral; a celebration of the unique and very special visit to Bury St Edmunds of the Magna Carta, a never-to-be-repeated event in the town’s history. The Cathedral was stunningly lit and held an art display from local schools while well over 100 people enjoyed the lively Reception.

My Small Adventure
June 6, 2014. Well, like all good things my small adventure has now come to the end. After two 12 hour flights – separated by a surreal 4 hour stopover in Shanghai – I flew into Heathrow and met my family at arrivals, feeling somewhat stunned that it was all over.
