Took the Tablelands Hwy, with a short cut on the Ranken Road to the Barkly Hwy. The Ranken Road in resonable condition the last 30k's hard rock country. After 6 weeks of the Tinnie on the roof rack, we get to launch and check it all out on Lake Moondarra - actually the Dam water for Mt Isa. Sue get's some driving lessons.

Plan 'A' was to head to Cox Penisular, just as well we are very flexible and go with the flow! After 9 days at Port Roper it was time to top up the water tanks. Departing Well # 4 on the Titchilla track, we stopped via Port Hedland to drop off some fresh fish at my brothers place. 332k's, 5hrs 19min (driving time) later we pulled up at Bea Bea Rest area for the night. Off early and checked into the Karajini NP by 0830hrs and soon out walking the Gorge. The things we do for fun! Okay - 'Been There, Done That'. Lost count how many carriages, it was 'LONG'.

Rolled into Moree, stocked up and kept rolling until the Turbo Charge fault light started to flicker, then all the the warning lights started to flicker. Checked out Coral Bay and kept moving the place was jammed (school holidays) A tourist rip off destination! The Internet shop e-mail was so slow we and several other folks walked out! Bushabout - Yorke Pen. and Cadell. Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Bushabout - Yorke Peninsular and Cadell - River Land S.A. Departing Geues mid morning heading for Yorke Peninsular and the River Land. 1hr 40 minutes from camp site to Eyre Hwy, again no tree pruning required. Pulled into the old Yalata servo to top up the drinking water from the rain water tanks and inflate tires. A vehicle that had passed us earlier was looking for 'FUEL' - more about Dino and Frank later! An easy walk up onto the rock.

Bushabout - Oct 06 - Ayres Rock. Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Sandy Way Rest Area - just outside the National Park. Over the sand hills from the rest area off the Lasseter Hwy amongst the trees. Ayers Rock was named in 1873 by explorer William Gosse after the then Premier of S.A. Sir Henry Ayers. Visitors are discouraged from climbing the 348 mtr high monolith, an alternative is the 10km base walk, we did both. Now this is just a very small section, Wow! We did a quick "U turn" and. Made it. .
