Alma and Oskar soon got friends with Katelyn and time was passing much faster than expected. The Mekong River is quite a difficult stream to navigate, esprecially at this time of the year, when at some places it is very narrow and full of h cliffs and rocks resulting in surprisingly strong currents whirls ect.

Over the last weeks we have met many people at our temporary housing at Wilby Residences and made new friends, be it at or in the pool or while waiting for the school bus. Good that in Singapore nobody lives much more than 30 minutes away, so moving does not prevent from meeting each other in the future. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. A long weekend in Hongkong. Some weeks ago we decided to do a short trip to Hong Kong over the Hari Raja Haji weekend in October. This city really has it all. Chinese style bamboo scaffolding. A mountain peak just about as high as the highest (over 100 storey) sky scrapers. Budhist temples with beautifully detailed interiors. And nice smelling incensce sticks in the roof. The highest number of sky scrapers in the world. Glass buildings in almost all colors of the rainbow.

After 7 hours of waiting in a cold airport, one cancelled flight. The next day the canelled flight isn't cancelled anymore, only has a 2-hour delay. Due to the canelled flight, two missed flights.
