Donation Rocks, Right Side. Purchased the land containing Donation Rocks and has graciously opened the area to public access as of April 10, 2011. To climb at Donation Rocks, all climbers are required to fill out the following free online waiver. Prior to showing up at the rocks, and are required to carry a copy of the signed waiver with them while on the property. Access Information for Central PA Climbing Areas. It’s usually not a good idea to climb at most central Pennsylvania climbing areas during the popular hunting days. In particular, stay away during the opening day of any of the major game seasons. Climbers’ presence during these days not only causes conflict between climbers and hunters (who have many of the same access and conservation goals as climbers), but it also drastically increases you and your pets’ chances of being shot.

Red Alert: Proposed State Gamelands closure to non-hunters during peak season. Posted by Scott Woods on January 22nd, 2015. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has proposed a new free permit system for all State Gamelands. One of the new regulations in this proposal would close PA Game Lands to all secondary users, climbers included, for nearly six months during hunting seasons. Please spend 5 minutes writing a letter to the Game Commission now, while the proposal is open for public comment!
