Musings of Min and activities of Moxie and Docker, the best Portuguese Water Dogs! Sunday, July 20, 2008. The past few days here in NYS have been dreadfully HHH. You can see the moisture hanging in the air. Not the best weather for furry-coated PWD's. Yesterday, Jeff and I took them to the Great Sacan. Off the South Shore Road for a swim and a bath. We found a place to enter the lake where there was no beach nearby, as swimmers might get testy about dog shampoo floating in the water. Links to this post.

I don't know what it is with our dogs, but tonight was "Breakfast for Dinner" night and the dogs were going crazy trying to get a waffle! Don't get me wrong - my waffles are awesome, but they are not the usual carnivore fare. When we got Moxie, she had been raised on raw chicken, so she still goes a little crazy when we have something on the grill.but this. Waffle obsession is bizarre!

Our Baby Dog (Moxie) was finally able to be spayed after several aborted attempts and failed blood tests. So now she's got the "flower face" with the hood thing that doesn't allow her to bite her stitches. Glad that's over. Stitches come out Tuesday. Jeff and I received our Sleep Number Bed. And she'd posted a recipe to make homemade Frosty Paws, that dog ice cream that you can buy in the grocery store for more money than Ben and Jerry's! So, I made the "ice cream" in the morning and by the afternoon it was good n' ready! The doggies had a wonderful treat and even got to eat from my good dishes!

On the road again; Caching Places We've Never Been. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. We drove the .2 miles only to find a tiny Taco shop. Well, we managed to do our laundry among the weird tattooed, drugged out guys that sat on the floor while we kept feeding the dryers quarters. We took the sweaters and the comforter back to the RV to dry. It was a nice quiet evening eating our leftover chicken soup and French bread to sop up the broth. Links to this post.
