Sunday, August 09, 2015. This week has sorta kinda been like another first week of real summer vacation, meaning we didn't have any trips planned, any camps, any visits, just hanging out. that and Mom finally got the hang of scheduling some play-dates for us! We started out with a great morning with J and E at our place, J and I basically disappeared into my room for the duration, while the gals did lots of dress-up and appreciating their beautiful umbrellas in the beautiful Portland sunshine. Gabe and G...

Sunday, July 26, 2015. We are not sure but this may be Great Grandma Mary's first selfie! It's her first with me. I am working on my selfie taking skills. We had a long drive up to Fresno and kicked it off wonderfully with a visit to Great-Grandma Mary. Grace helped Great-Grandma put on her make-up and gave her a beautiful sparkly manicure. We all played war with Great-Grandma. She totally won and tolerated my smack talking during the game, and even gave some back. I got better at the selfie with practice.

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Happy Thanksgiving dear ones! We spent this Thanksgiving trying out something new. Newport! Grandma and Grandpa found a great place right on the beach . with a pool. The weather turned out to be a lot of side-ways rain and really ripping cold wind, so the warm pool was exceptionally awesome and enjoyed every day! Uncle Ryan flew into Portland and came out with us. We were so excited to see him! I don't think Grace stopped talking the entire drive! We had a fantastic day explori...

Owen and Grace's Blog: new tricks
http://owensteves.blogspot.com/2015/08/new-tricks.html
Sunday, August 02, 2015. We have learned a lot while we were at Grandma and Grandpa's this week! Grandma got me some cute new converse with laces and then taught me to tie them! I am very good now and insist on doing it myself. Owen spent the week at River Camp. And I spent the time at Zoo camp and at Jan Thomas swim school. Both were great! I loved Zoo Camp, and learned all about African animals,. Spending every day we could at the VanVolkinburg's pool has dramatically improved Owen's diving skills.

Sunday, August 31, 2014. We had a blast in Wolcott visiting the Steves clan. It was pretty awesome trip. Pictures from last week included among general fun around town. a great family reunion where we really got to meet a lot of Steves that we either don't get to see often enough or have never met before. It was a wonderful treat. There was, of course, plenty of fishing to be done. Most days they caught a respectable 7-10 fish or so. but the day that I went out with them they got closer to 70! We met wit...
