With great sadness we must report the death of Cindy Nauer, widow of the late Jim Nauer, and Scott's mother. Jim died two years ago after a long struggle with cancer, and Cindy died suddenly last Saturday, at home. A visitation will be held today (Thursday, May 21) at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home on 20 in Marengo, from 4 to 7 PM. Please keep the Nauer family in your prayers. IRM Tour Guide "IRMA".

There's no easy way to organize all this activity, so here goes:. The side sill needed a second coat of blue. The lighting in the barn isn't very good for this application, so I wound up doing most of it with a brush in one hand and a flashlight in the other. Much better! And look, one of the numbers still needs black outlining. The grid box castings are now black.

IRM's first car, Indiana Railroad 65, operated all day with its newly reupholstered seats, with capacity crowds on each trip. Joe Fisher scratch built many O scale passenger car models over the years. His work included standard passenger and traction (trolley) cars. The hallmarks of a Fisher model were the use of "Lionel" size light bulbs for the interior lighting and home-made bolts to hold the roofs in place on the model. Compiled by Ed Halstead.
