Archive for April, 2009. I hate liars but the world is so full of them we can’t get away – or maybe I’m a liar magnet, I don’t know. My grandmother used to say, ‘Donde hay calor har serpientes,’ ‘Where there is heat, there are snakes.’ This terrified me as a boy growing up in San Diego – when wasn’t it hot? But now I’ve come to the City of Angels, I understand what she really meant. Where there is more to win there will always be more snakes.
