Dead Man's Teal: August 2015
http://deadmansteal.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Moths etc from the Fen Edge of Cambridgeshire. Sunday, 23 August 2015. Toadflax Brocade 21 August 2015. Was the clear highlight of my first trapping effort in the garden for a month. This is a rare (Red Data Book) species and needless to say a first for the garden (#452. It is semi-regular at just a small handful of sites in Cambs. A small totrix I absentmindedly took a photo of turned out to be Epinotia nisella - another addition, although more expected, to the garden (#453). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Dead Man's Teal: 12th August 2016

Moths etc from the Fen Edge of Cambridgeshire. Friday, 19 August 2016. Putting out a moth trap with a freshly broken ankle was a rather poor idea and I wasn't even rewarded for my bravery/stupidity with anything too exciting. Sallow Kitten is always nice to see though and a couple of other species were also new to the garden:. Sallow Kitten Furcula furcula. Straw Underwing Thalpophila matura. Flounced Rustic Luperina testacea. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.

Dead Man's Teal: September 2016
http://deadmansteal.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Moths etc from the Fen Edge of Cambridgeshire. Thursday, 29 September 2016. 25th September 2016 - Convolvulus Hawkmoth. This monster was in the trap this morning:. Convolvulus Hawkmoth Agrius convolvuli. A classic migrant that has had a decent run of records on the coast the last couple of weeks but still brilliant to get one here. This is almost certainly a 'second-hand' lifer as Martin Fowlie caught one the night before and its surely the same individual. Monday, 19 September 2016. 254] Small Dusty Wave.

Dead Man's Teal: 24th August 2016
http://deadmansteal.blogspot.com/2016/08/24th-august-2016.html
Moths etc from the Fen Edge of Cambridgeshire. Thursday, 25 August 2016. Despite some spectacular electrical storm the humidity won out and I hobbled into the garden to put the trap out. Nothing too thrilling turned up although a few things escaped as I struggled with the basics of picking up an egg box without dropping it back to the floor again. Nevermind. Orange Swift Hepialus sylvina. The Nutmeg Anarta trifolii. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.

Pulps from the bothy. Monday, 28 June 2010. Once Upon a Time in the DC Universe. Liberty's silhouetted arm reaches up into the sulfurous night sky above the city that never sleeps, its skyline brightly etched in the swirling waters of the Hudson. The red beacons atop the Brooklyn bridge blink as a tug boat trails a plume of smoke below. Paul has a conscience and a heart and isn't so sure, but his friend Jimmy sees only the quick lucrative buck and a path leading out of the gutter where the have not's.
